At last! The fungi have finally given way to plain flat ground, which isn't much better, but at least doesn't

seem to stare at us. Anyway, the other day we were still walking on the seemingly endless path when a

very curious thing happened. One of those burrowing creatures that attacked me yesterday sped past,

throwing up quite a lot of dirt and mud without making a sound. At first we thought we would have to fight

off more of them, but as we soon found out, it wasn't interested in us. Right behind it a row of spikes rose

out of the dirt, gliding after it at a furious pace. A pair of beady eyes rose in front. It was some sort of predator,

obviously. They both disappeared into the distance, and I was just beginning to feel better, when Quane said

something terrible.

"This is just as I suspected! The 'ground' isn't dirt or any type of solid, it's like water! It's the only explanation

as to how those things could glide under it so easily. "

Which meant that we couldn't even step off the path, the only solid thing in sight. The only thing sure to

not be crawling with carnivorous lifeforms. Lying on the cold, metallic path, I couldn't sleep that night.

Not my greatest build, but the others are rather good.

What are you talking about? This is great! Lovely landscape effects and the creature is well-integrated into it.

I guess you're right, just seems a little shabby to me in comparison with the others so far. :sadnew:

Glad you like it though. :classic:
