Orlego Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I found this poll on Lugnet but modified it with some new items. I would like to see what everyone here would like Lego to create next for the train line. ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I'm going with the European diesel prototype freight locomotive. Sounds fun. Will this have any impact on LEGO's happenings? Quote
Orlego Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 LOL! I know what you mean John. I would love Lego to make DCC and smart lighting for the trains but I would also like them to make the items we can't make such as new track pieces. If I had to only choose one I guess it would be the larger curve track. I can build my own version of any Loco and I can learn how to mod my trains for DCC and create RCX smart lights but I can't mold my own track. ;) Quote
medib Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I agree with John, there are TOO MANY awesome options to pick just one. Its like a wee tyke in the candy store.... brain overload. :-D Ben Medinets, who chose to pick out the Mindstorm-Train interconnects, because I have 3 RCX'en. Quote
LegoVervoerBouwer Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 i will see the 7740 as a legond! *satis* Quote
Brickmaster Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 :') too many great things to pick from, do people send in the results of these? then we could get what we finally want! Quote
David85 Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Amtrak might not be around next year, so you should take that opinion out. Quote
Orlego Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Amtrak might not be around next year, so you should take that opinion out. At the end of the day Amtrak is still owned by the government and they will keep them alive. Quote

Orlego Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 You know, I just want a NEW train. Something LEGO hasn't done before. Well that is what the Santa Fe & BNSF line was for right??? Quote

The Middleman Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 You know, I just want a NEW train. Something LEGO hasn't done before. Well that is what the Santa Fe & BNSF line was for right??? Something more generic, not a specific train. Generic train for my generic City. :) Quote

When it comes to most lines, you're absolutely right. But I just get this great vibe from the City sets, and they look awesome displayed. :) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 One item category is definately missing from the list: Train-side buildings (i.e. water tower, mill, large train station) and bridges/trussels with a mountain tunnel. I believe I said this on another post, but what I'd personally love to see is a western train theme with some old classic town buildings, windmill, etc. It would make for a great "sub-theme". Quote
#1legofreak Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I don't have any trains so I don't care :X: Quote
