BooTheMightyHamster Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Hi, Thirty years since I last picked up some Lego, and then Mrs Boo bought me an 8070 Supercar for Christmas. And it's all gone a bit crazy since then. The house seems to be filling up with Technic. Nothing to do with me, obviously. It just, sort of, appears... Nice to meet you all. Boo Edit. Apparently I'm supposed to add a bit more info... I live in London with my lovely wife. I'm forty something, but if you ask me I'll swear blind I'm 27, as I have done for... some years now. Hobbies would include juggling (one day I'll master the five ball cascade), videogames (there is an Aladdin's cave of retro goodness in my loft), anime and manga, and related to that, I'm taking evening classes to learn Japanese. Music's a big part of my life, and while I appreciate the simplicity of an MP3 download, and I understand the inherent joy of putting a vinyl album on a good turntable, CD's were around for my big collecting phase. My wife had a spare room when I moved in. Now it's my music room. I've also played the drums for about 25 years, and been in and out of several bands in that time. A couple of originals, mostly cover bands. Still love playing, but my knees and back aren't so keen on the 'lugging all the gear out of the car at 2am after a gig' bit. Should have learned to play the harmonica instead! I love to cook. You can tell the quality of the meal by the amount of washing up there is afterwards! The more pots and pans, the better the food! I work in IT for a big UK retailer, but I work on the old mainframe legacy stuff. So don't ask me how to fix your PC, as a) I don't have a clue, and b) At home I'm a Mac user! And in addition to that, I've now got it bad for Lego. Up until Saturday, I thought I'd restricted my addiction to Technic, but after I attended the AFOL event at the Watford Store on Saturday morning, I got home to find a UCS 10225 R2-D2 on the back seat of the car. How on earth did that get there? Oh! And I've started making stop-motion videos of my builds. I shall inflict them on you at some point... Edited February 5, 2013 by BooTheMightyHamster Quote
