I've been buying supplies out of my own pocket every few weeks because these kids go through supplies like mad, which is fine, but it is getting a tad expensive.

I teach math/science to underprivileged and slower learning children at an elementary school in an after school program. It's called 21st century. I need to purchase stuff to do small experiments with and also general supplies like paper, pencils, crayons, markers, tape, and other assorted stuff. Most of the Grant allotted to the program went to securing a snack program through a national food vendor, which is is why we have had to make do with the meager budget we were given to buy supplies.

the kids and myself have had tons of fun with and some of the teachers were astonished how many of these kids critical thinking abilities, not just in science but in math problems, have improved in the 2 short weeks since we started doing the lessons with the set. So I'm looking to get more things like this.

Any help would be appreciated as this program isn't just to help these kids catch up to their classmates, but it is also a secure place they can come after school to stay out of trouble. Many of them come from broken homes/homes where their parents don't really care about school or them. Which is sad but a fact of life I guess. I like to make my class as fun and engaging as possible and funding stuff out my own pocket is getting a tad expensive(not that I am unwilling to continue doing it) but a bit of help any of you fine gents could provide would be aces.
