I built this 1971 Seagrave Tiller Ladder Truck based on one a buddy of mine owns. It is white with a purple stripe, as we are both big Kansas State University fans (their colors are purple and grey) Here is a photo of his truck:

Here is my build:

Interesting use for those minifig head / lamp elements on the top of the front of the rig

I know, I tried the new trans round 1x1 tiles, but it didnt look right, and I also contemplated the Brickarms Warning Light but wanted to maintain 100% Lego pieces.

It looks fantastic, but that color scheme is terrible! :classic:

Go Mizzou!

Come on! Your in the SEC now, no need to hate on KSU

Oh, wow. This is a really nice replica. I love how you captured all the details on the truck and trailer. Great job.

This looks great! I'm glad to finally see another one of these with a 6-wide cab.

There are defintiely plenty of 6-wide fire trucks out there, and an entire little community of builders who make em.

Please make some sort of instruction on how to build this!

Also, can minifigs fit in the cabin?

You can download similar LDD files for builds like this, not this build, but similar at EmBy where this topic creator is also a member :)

Is nobody wondering WHY someone would want to own such a vehicle? It sure is one of the most

beautiful cars I've seen but it's not very practical to say the least.

This is a very big staple in the history of Fire Departments in the USA. These ladders are built to work around tight and narrow streets. Here is a link that gives a pretty simple definition.
