Mrcool1804 Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I built this 1971 Seagrave Tiller Ladder Truck based on one a buddy of mine owns. It is white with a purple stripe, as we are both big Kansas State University fans (their colors are purple and grey) Here is a photo of his truck: Here is my build: Quote
PsyKater Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Another very good replica of the real truck! It is instantly recognizable. Good job! I like your cars very much! Quote
medib Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Interesting use for those minifig head / lamp elements on the top of the front of the rig Quote
eurotrash Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It looks fantastic, but that color scheme is terrible! Go Mizzou! Quote
Mrcool1804 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 Interesting use for those minifig head / lamp elements on the top of the front of the rig I know, I tried the new trans round 1x1 tiles, but it didnt look right, and I also contemplated the Brickarms Warning Light but wanted to maintain 100% Lego pieces. It looks fantastic, but that color scheme is terrible! Go Mizzou! Come on! Your in the SEC now, no need to hate on KSU Quote
cheapinkc Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It looks fantastic, but that color scheme is terrible! I agree! Rock Chalk! :) Great build all around! How wide is it overall? Quote
solta Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Oh, wow. This is a really nice replica. I love how you captured all the details on the truck and trailer. Great job. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 AWESOME fire truck 'Mrcool1804', though my only suggestion would be to tile the trailer section to match the tiling on the prime mover.....besides that I it ! Brick On 'Mrcool1804' ! Quote
MaineBrickFan Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It looks fantastic, but that color scheme is terrible! Go Mizzou! Seconded, from a Mizzou graduate. ('97)! Seriously, though, great MOC. Very well done. Quote
bootz Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 This looks great! I'm glad to finally see another one of these with a 6-wide cab. Quote
thebumbler Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Please make some sort of instruction on how to build this! Also, can minifigs fit in the cabin? Quote
kotaco Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) This looks great! I'm glad to finally see another one of these with a 6-wide cab. There are defintiely plenty of 6-wide fire trucks out there, and an entire little community of builders who make em. Please make some sort of instruction on how to build this! Also, can minifigs fit in the cabin? You can download similar LDD files for builds like this, not this build, but similar at EmBy where this topic creator is also a member :) Edited March 13, 2013 by kotaco Quote
Stinky Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Is nobody wondering WHY someone would want to own such a vehicle? It sure is one of the most beautiful cars I've seen but it's not very practical to say the least. Quote

It sure is one of the most beautiful cars I've seen but it's not very practical to say the least. This is a very big staple in the history of Fire Departments in the USA. These ladders are built to work around tight and narrow streets. Here is a link that gives a pretty simple definition. Quote
