Last night I had the idea to add a digital camera to the top of set 9398. I built a mount which is just some beams and pins that connects to the roof using the bars that are already part of the model.

The only issues I found were that the extra weight of the camera does slow the model down a bit and due to it sitting high on the roof it is a little bit unstable. Other than that it works well and adds something extra to this model.

Since camera on top of a model is not very aesthetically pleasing anyway, you can remove the entire top body and fix the camera with those parts heavily reinforced in chassis.

Then snoop at neighbor's garden

Hi,

That's an idea I've had myself (once I start building models and taking pics of them). Why no try mounting the camera at the front of the vehicle. Or you could use a headcam style camera which saves to an SD card and mount that on your crawler.

Keep at it I'm sure you can find a good solution.
