le60head Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hello guys! I wanted to share with you my solution for a 7-wide driven differential, which i'm gonna incorporate in an upcoming MOC. Hope you like it :) Feel free to comment! http://www.flickr.co...N05/8426683010/ http://www.flickr.co...N05/8425591679/ Quote

Kierna Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Anything compact is a real challenge, well done Quote
le60head Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Thanks Kierna :) Stay tuned for updates for the model itself! Quote
pint14 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Thats very clever solution, but is there really need for diff in so small scale truck? Quote
timslegos Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Looks clean and compact, building tiny is always difficult. tim Quote
le60head Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Thank you! Pint, when i am finished with my model (which will hopefully be soon enough!) i can make a comparison with or without the diff to see whether it makes a difference in such a small scale. I guess i can instead make only one of the wheels on the axle drive the vehicle, and leave the other one spin freely. I have tried that so far and it works. Only downside is that the radius of the left and right turns becomes different in this case :) Quote
