jonwil Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I am attempting to replicate the windscreen on the bus in this picture http://www.perthbus.info/quickimage.php?image=132697F20C69 (wont let me embed it into the post for some reason) but I cant figure out what parts I could use to get both the angle of the main piece of glass and the little triangle pieces of glass (there is a matching one on the other side) Any advice on what parts to use would be great. I am building in trans-clear and in 8-wide with probably 3 bricks high for the windscreen area give or take a plate or 2 Quote
Phazon Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 These are all the windscreens on sale: http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?itemType=P&catString=115 I think that I would go for this windscreen with some SNOT work, if it really needs to be angled. http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=12&itemID=805 Good luck with the windscreen, I hope that this helps! TheStrategist Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 It doesn't fit the angled part, but for that size I would say this one looks good: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=64453 Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Like Phazon and TheStrategist said, that windscreen would be best. Possibly mounted on some of of these hinges, for the angled appearance. You can use black electrical tape for the odd shape of the plastic around the window Quote
Rook Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) I'd go with a 1x6x3 (or three 1x2x3 if need be) and then in the one stud space to both sides of the windshield you can snot in some 1x1 and 1x2 plates of whichever trans you use. Edited January 28, 2013 by Rook Quote

jonwil Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Yes, we have a fairly large number of Renaults (both rigid and articulated) in Perth :) Quote
