Who's to say he's right? I'd personally trust Greg and the main Bionicle Team more than an employee, but that's just me. Besides, the term 'biological chronicle' refers to a story come alive, basically -- it isn't based on their appearances.

Of cources, it's likely they also derived it from the word 'bionic'... but ignore, and get back on topic! :-D

Exactly. That's the tell-tale sign of a franchise nearing an end.

All these various story ideas that were planned all being chucked together at once for one final blow.

Kinda' like how some tv shows have an ending episode where absolutely ludicrous and wacky things all happen at once, but due to limited time, leaves the feel of a regular episode of it in the dust.

"This one went this way, that one died, these two hooked up, those ones split up, and that's the end!" type deal.

At least Bionicle isn't so squished in.... *wacko*

But still, BIONICLE gets more, and more popular each year, and soon it will even be more popular than LSW! But if they stop it in 2008 (or 2009 or 2010 for all I know) then what will the fans say? What will LEGO come up with?

I wouldn't be suprised to see a new toy line replacing it within 3 years.

Why? After all, Greg and TLC have consistently said that Lego plans to continue Bionicle as long as it sells well. This is backed up (at least IMO) by the fact that I really can't see why they would end bionicle if it was selling well. Seriously, Bionicle is number 2 on the top themes list, and was number ONE for several years before. If it's doing so well, TLC would almost possitively never end it.

It's a case similar to LSW (minus the storyline) and all other themes: it's controled by the customers. Galidor did horribly with the customers, as did Jack stone. They both died very quickly. Starwars did super well, and after 8 years, it's still going strong and will continue at least until 2011. So, unless Bionicle suddenly had a serious drop in popularity (which, considering what I've heard, will not happen anytime soon), TLC has basically no reason to cancel it. ;-)

Another potential problem with your theory, Jinzo: 2006-8 revolves around a quest to save Mata-Nui's life. Save his life, not wake him up. And, as we all know, that is what the bionicle we know and have always known revolves around. The only possible way for Bionicle to end considering the current storyline is for him to wake up, and seriously, that has an extremely low chance of hapening before the end of 2008. Having so many things hapening ( finding the mask of life again, saving Mata-Nui's life, waking up Mata-Nui, ending Bionicle) just would not fit in with Bionicle's way of storytelling, even with GregF at the head of the story. Bionicle has always progressed slowly, revealing and introducing more things each year, but slowly. Doing all of those major events in a year (2008), is extremely uncharacteristic of Bionicle.

Thus, Jinzo, I really can't see Bionicle ending any time soon. ;-)

I don't like Animes much either...clogging up fricking Deviantart with it, I get no pageviews because of it.

Anyways...Ikki o'Moopyville, thanks for that info!!!everything now makes sense, but yet, it brings more questions. What about the Turaga? Are the Rahaga also with them? Keetongu? Takanuva?

And did the Inika and the Nuva ever meet?

Posted

Aye, the Rahaga and Keetongu used Metru Nui as base during the last 1000 years, and have now left on their quest to free all the Rahi trapped by Visorak. The Turaga remain in the city and overlook its rebuilding, and as does Takanuva, after not being able to enter Karzahni's realm due a light-blocking 'wall'.

And yep, the Nuva and Inika met just before each went on their respective quests -- here's the last words, said by Tahu:

"Go now, Toa Inika. As Matoran, you showed courage and heart as great as that of any Toa. As heroes, you have proven yourself worthy of joining the ranks of the greatest in legend. We will be wating to greet you when you have fulfilled your destiny!"

A "light blocking wall"???Wouldn't that make it a normal wall? :-D

Ok, now THAT is bad storytelling. Too many loose ends...Now we got two things goin on at the same time: Nuva looking for Bahrag, and Mahri...Mahri-ing around?

I'm pretty sure it was a "Everything-but-Matoran" Blocking Wall. If it was a Light Blocking wall, Takanuva could've taken his mask off and stepped through. (Not saying that's a good idea...)

Not quite sure that would've worked, as light is Takanuva's element, and not just in his mask. The light beams he fired at it were deflected as well -- besides, here's a quote from Dark Destiny:

"It's a warning," she [Hahli] reported. "It reads something like this... 'This is a realm of shadow... of famine and plague and blight... This is a world of darkness... and there is no place for light.'"

But now, don't turn this into the BZP S&T forum! :-D

But couldn't "Light" technically be all Toa? Light has been used as a symbol for hope in the past, so it could be a sign for anything that could bring hope.

However, if the Toa go through that gate to get to Karzahni's realm this year, then you're totally right.
