Captain BeerBeard Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 In the Antyrian Alps, the old man collects goats. The old man and his wife own a cheese farm. They need to increase production because Avalonians love goat cheese. He's taking his time getting home today because his nagging wife will be quite upset that he only captured one goat. Rogue Angel Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I really like the base for this. It reminds me of what Legonardo's been doing, but you've layered it throughout the MOC. I also really like the story - the expression on the herder is perfect! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 The angled plates is something I've wanted to do for a while but didn't have very many. After Christmas I found a whole bunch of Star Wars Polybags for half off that where loaded with them. Little Leo is always an inspiration as well. Quote
SkaForHire Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I really like this MOC, the base plate is awesome, and I am always a sucker for "everyday life" MOCs. Quote
Maxim I Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 The face of the herder is indeed epic!!! Also a very nice bush you made there! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Thanks guys. @DMax The bush has a travis brick in the middle. That face was the inspiration for the moc. Quote
Legonardo Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 great work mate, good to see your back in business! mushrooms, lemons, cheese, what next? I love food Keep it up! ~Little leo? i like, will add to my collect of names Quote
MikeyB Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 add me to the list of "likes" I am a big fan of everyday life vignettes like these as well. the base is great and like others have said, the minifig is perfect. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Really nice little scene, I also picked up some of those SW polys on clearance, maybe I'll try something similar. The colors set the atmosphere nicely Quote
Brickington Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Really nice. I love the base and the simplicity of the moc. Also nicer to see another Active Avalonian building. Quote
Balthasar Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Fine landscaping and excellent photographing Quote
