ikari Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Hello there, another newbie from Holland here. Used to be a big fan of Lego when I was younger, until I entered my dark ages around the age of 16 or so. Fast forward 14 years later and here I am. I stumbled upon a picture of one of the modular buildings (pet store I believe it was) and I was sold. So I picked up my old box of childhood Legos and I am now in the process of sorting out all the parts. Some of them really did not stand the test of time well (yes I am looking at you, white bricks.. and printed ones as well) but it was great seeing everything again. My goal is to make my own modular buildings some day, but it seems I need a lot more of those fancy new parts for that (ie cheese wedges!) See you around! Quote
JopieK Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Welcome @EB fellow Dutchian ;) What LEGO category do you like best?! Quote
ikari Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) Well I am not sure what category the modular stuff goes into, but I really like those. I also really like the Creator houses (apple tree, beach house, etc) and the trains. I was very happy to see that my old train (7715) was still complete. It may not be a fancy one, but I used to love it. My neighbour had the old TGV (7745) complete with railroad crossings and all that stuff, I was so jealous What about you? Looking at your sig it seems to be the classic trains Edited January 17, 2013 by ikari Quote
JopieK Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Mostly classic trains, but also newer trains. I have had the 7740 and 7710 from my childhood, but also have some Emerald Nights, Maersk and the PF trains. For my work I use NXT / Technic (/ EV3?!), but at home I'm indeed into trains and town / city. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 It seems like the Dutch are invading Eurobricks lately... Welcome to Eurobricks, ikari! The modular buildings are indeed the best. To answer your question: they belong to Town. Quote
