Boxerlego Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I have a 5 speed Transmission with a over drive gear and reverse in Lego of course and still is a work in progress. I have the input shaft directly connected to a motor shaft and the transmission output shaft is connect to a speed computer displaying the Rpm as I manually engage each gear. This was a test to see the high speed effect on the gears and the sliding gear engagement. What do you think about the Lego transmission and the overall capabilities. Quote
Balrog Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Did you use smooth axle connectors for the red driving rings? Quote

Paul Boratko Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 If you used the older type, they would help keep the driving rings engaged a bit better and would be easier on the clips in the driving rings... Quote

Boxerlego Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 This time I have a the old style axle connectors on the red clutch rings. I have also made a gearshift lever for each of the red clutch rings. Quote
Boxerlego Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 I made this governor for my transmission. So far I have no clue how to connect everything together. Quote
