Any ideas... zane...????????????? See through parts such as the ones you saw in Zane's brickshelf gallery and this are test molds to determine the durability of the the plastic when made in certain forms. They are virtually impossible to get unless you work for the lego company, even then it is hard to get ;-) -l2k- Quote

Because the only see-through fig I found was one for the new castle line, so I just assumed it was only a prototype for an actual set. A Quote
exo attack Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I NEED that astronaut. NEED. Its so cool. There are also some pics of seethrough lego at the pre production design thread. Quote

chewie Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 That guy is pretty cool, but he doesn't do it for me really. I don't find it that exciting to be honest. Still it is neat to see a see-through fig. I think its a cool idea as well how lego would use the see-through figs to determine stress throughout the fig, or any part at all. Quote
Norro Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I think its a cool idea as well how lego would use the see-through figs to determine stress throughout the fig, or any part at all. That's a pretty standard procedure in a lot of industries to my knowledge...Still fascinating though ;-) God Bless, Nathan Quote
optimus-convoy Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Neat... Lego should just release a line that has some see-through figs in it. They'd make great elemental warriors, or aliens. *sweet* Quote
Scouty Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 ...or Hologram figs! Unlike the one that came with the ISD set. That fig is neeto! Quote
lone_buffalo Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 Exactly. They are freakin sweet! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Neat...Lego should just release a line that has some see-through figs in it. They'd make great elemental warriors, or aliens. *sweet* Couldn't agree more. Lots of toy lines in the past have done this. But where i REALLY want Lego to do it is in the fact that their superior materials are INCREDIBLY stable. Man... I have "clear" action figures from the past 25 years who ALL are now either yellow or brown. Yet the clear Bionicle Kanohi masks I have from 2001 are still just that. If anyone should be producing clear figures, it's Lego. (I REALLY want me a fully trans-neon green minifig). Quote
Vader Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Trans clear figs would alos be great for the SW line, they could be used as the ghost of obi wan, yoda etc. Quote
john cleese Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 lego does what they want we should all realize that by now. although i would love a trans orange, trans neon green or trans blue I say when it comes to TLG just go with the flow because they arent going to listen to us or anybody else for that matter... no wait theyll listen to the damn focus group. But not us, ever. Quote
Holodoc Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 ...or Hologram figs! Oooh, yesss! I would really appreciate that! *sweet* *sweet* *sweet* Some colleagues... *wub* I also like Vaders idea of the ghosts. They have included these figures in the "Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy" computer game, so they have an idea of what they should look like in reality. It Quote
lone_buffalo Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 I didn't expect such a fuss, but thanks anyways. :-D So can I get one on a $53 budget? Quote
Chuck Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I didn't expect such a fuss, but thanks anyways. :-D So can I get one on a $53 budget? Honestly, you probably couldn't get one on any budget ;-) -l2k- Quote
Sir Dillon Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Well, if you had a big enough budget, you could make your own. ;-) But seriously, I wouldn't expect to be able to buy one, let alone find one for sale. Quote
