flowerpotgirl Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I have got back into Lego during the last 6 months or so, after being given all of my childhood lego to take care of. I love the modular buildings and have just built Fire Brigade (a Christmas gift). I also recently built Cafe Corner by sourcing parts from Brickset. My latest purchase was the Winter Village Bakery. I managed to get the last one in the Lego Manchester shop, and it was reduced. I was delighted as it had disappeared from s@h and I thought I would have to pay through the nose for it. I have been lurking on here for some time, so I thought I had better be polite and say hello, as you all seem really friendly. Quote
ShaydDeGrai Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Welcome and happy holidays! Glad to hear you've emerged from your dark ages, it's a good time to be an AFOL. From whereabouts in Scotland do you hail? I live in the 'States myself, but my Dad's from Dundee and I've got extended family spread about from the Isle of Lewis in the north down to the "balmy south" across the border in Sussex. Quote
flowerpotgirl Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Hello Citizen, I live in the Scottish Borders, approximately half way between Newcastle Upon Tyne and Edinburgh. It is a beautiful part of the world. However my nearest Lego shop is in Manchester, approx 4 hours drive away, luckily my brother lives there, so I can send him in to Picka Brick with a list! Quote

flowerpotgirl Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks for the warm welcome. Today I shall mostly be taking apart the Fire Brigade modular, and attempt to build an alternative model. Quote
