I'm probably going on a trip to Houston, TX and I wanted to know if the stores in the USA, in general, are out of stock in LEGO sets. I live in Mexico so I want to know if it's worth to travel right now... I know that with the holiday shopping many things are out of stock already, but If I go next year I'm afraid that some sets will no longer be in stores anymore. Are the LEGO stores and supermarkets THAT empty?

Thank you!

In my experience, the more popular Lego sets are usually gone for a few days after Christmas. They have some sets, but the shelves are definitely picked over.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (in California), and I often find that our local LEGO Store is sold out of many sets in the few days before and after Christmas. The usually restock within a few days, though.

It's still not nearly as bad as Toys 'R' Us, say, or Target.

Thanks for all the replies guys! :classic: I think I might find the sets I want, since they're mostly modular. I hope the Houston LEGO store isn't that bad!
