Brickity Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I'm probably going on a trip to Houston, TX and I wanted to know if the stores in the USA, in general, are out of stock in LEGO sets. I live in Mexico so I want to know if it's worth to travel right now... I know that with the holiday shopping many things are out of stock already, but If I go next year I'm afraid that some sets will no longer be in stores anymore. Are the LEGO stores and supermarkets THAT empty? Thank you!
Sid Sidious Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 In my experience, the more popular Lego sets are usually gone for a few days after Christmas. They have some sets, but the shelves are definitely picked over.
Vindicare Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 If you go to a LEGO store, I'm sure you'll be fine. Depending on when you go, other stores may be more hit or miss.
Stash2Sixx Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I think it might help if you knew what you were looking for. Older stuff is going bye bye, and new sets are coming in every week!
Lord LOLrus Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (in California), and I often find that our local LEGO Store is sold out of many sets in the few days before and after Christmas. The usually restock within a few days, though. It's still not nearly as bad as Toys 'R' Us, say, or Target.
Brickity Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 Thanks for all the replies guys! I think I might find the sets I want, since they're mostly modular. I hope the Houston LEGO store isn't that bad!
Shu Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 why not check it online first before actually visiting the shop?
