In an age long forgotten a brave hero (insert silly fantasy-name here) fought a mighty Wyvern (called Lindwurm in German) and finally killed the beast near a waterfall. To pay tribute to that hero a castle was built on the rock that stood in the midst of the waterfall.

This was inspired by many sources, to name two of them its fallingwater ( http://en.wikipedia....ki/Fallingwater) for the idea with the waterfall, and the videogame skyrim for including those large chunks of wooden architecture and turning it into a dragon knight's castle (i had the idea with the waterfall already).

This is as the name of the topic suggests already my entry to the castle category and my final entry for the Colossal Castle Contest this year

Looks awesome!

Where did you get the bricks? Did you just do pick a brick or were there certain sets that yielded more useful bricks for building a castle?

This is a colossal MOC! You've put tons of detail into it, and you always do a great job with your angled walls - I love it! The color scheme is great, and I love the way the entrance wraps all around the castle. Stunning!

This is a great MOC! You know a little tiny detail that I absolutely love? The knight in the third to last picture. Is that hair from one of the LotR sets?

No, but close. It is from the escape of the mirkwood spiders, wich is a hobbit set

Ooo, thanks. I hope you don't mind, but I have to borrow that look!
