A couple weeks back I made this little scene out of extra pieces. Ecthelion with his Knights are protecting the King's square and wielding Orcrist the dark forces of Morgoth are almost driven back to the gates of Gondolin. Soon dragons and Balrogs will overrun the last great elven city of the First age.

Ecthelion is made from Crown knights torso, mummy hands, arms, legs, Elrond head, small blue cape, Brickforge elven helmet and battle armor with segmented pauldrons, Kukri sword, kite shield and I made the spike on his helm by filing down the Lego blade edge from ninjago enough to fit in the tiny space allotted by the Brickforge helmets for plumes. The Knights have yellow hands and heads from the minifigs I got with their torsos. Now that I ordered 10 haldir heads I was able to change them into elf lords for the Gil-Galad scene in Forlindon. I hope to buy some old Vikings dragons and make a brick built Gothmog similar to the Balrog design in the game. Also working on a large fountain and Glorfindel and his Golden Flower Knights.

Neat build. I know nothing of this part of the story, but it looks neat. However, I agree about those elves. They say not to mix yellow and licensed skin tones, but I think that especially means on the same figure. I would recommend different heads/hands or yellow sharpie the ears (it really does look like the right shade of yellow).
