Minifig Lecturer Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Here is a strange set I never saw before. It's not good IMO but has some good pieces. Bigger pic here. Quote
Hobbes Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Not that strange, just rare. Has been discussed here once... Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 Not that strange, just rare. Has been discussed here once... Well I think it's strange :-P I mean, not many sets had standard road baseplates used in them. But I see from the link, that this set was not really released anywhere much. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I agree with the comment of this set being rather strange. I never saw this set myself. In addition, what makes it a "Holiday" village? It seems to be very limited in pieces, almost as if it's not complete. Strange... Quote
Grrr Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I don't believe it was ever produced - I haven't seen it amoung the many vault pictures out there, and no-one seems to own it. It is a nice sparse set, with good pieces. I suspect it was axed after the decision to juniorize - but obviously I am not in a position to know. If anyone has been in the vault or goes in, the paperwork or a picture of the set would be great. _____________ Edit: I have never seen any other sets with 7 stud roads to that pattern before. They aren't listed on bricklink or peeron. Making two new roads for this set would have increased production costs too. Quote
phoinix Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Set was never released but did appear in a UK retailers catalogue for 1996. at least thats what is says on brickset http://brickset.com/search.aspx?query=6500 Quote
