Greetings fellow lego technic builders. I've had lego for over thirty years, since the age of seven, when my mother bought me a horse and carriage set back in the seveties. Best thing ever. However, went through a dip as I grew up, got a job and developed other hobbies and interests (including something called overtime). Anyway, to cut a long story short, thanks to the internet I've rediscovered the love and am enjoying the new bits and peices. Two dismantled pneumatic boom arms on my bed as we speak. A lego torch and a hand built lego figure on my book shelf, a dune buggy style vehicle on my desk and a jiffy bag of new bits that arrived last week. Lego is never far away in my house. Hope to get a digital camera soon and post some pictures. It's good to be back

Thanks everyone. I'm discovering that Lego is in the four corners of the world. Also, lego has been taking the weight of several of my jackets for twenty years. I'm looking at the coat hanger I made years ago. Still going strong.

would like to see a picture of that, what a good idea for an unusual piece of furniture.

Great to have you on board. Many of us here have experienced some period of "dark Ages" in our lives as well. We are looking forward to viewing some of your creations.

Any recommendations for a good digital camera to use with my lego technic? Something in the £30 - £50 range. I'm told panasonic lumix are excellent.

I'm by no means a professional, but I really like my Canon cameras. I used my old Canon SD450 for most of my pictures, except for the Piper Super Cub that I built. For that I used my entry level DSLR (Canon T2i).

I don't know anything about Panasonic cameras, but both Canon and Nikon make good cameras, You may be able to get a used Canon DigitalElph or Nikon Coolpix in your price range.

A descent camera is important, but equally important is good lighting. Some of us shoot outdoors, sometimes with a white backdrop. Other people shoot in a dedicated photo box and white lights. If you can, I would add a backdrop and/or proper lighting to you camera budget.

Anyway, that's just my unprofessional advice.

I only know about Panosonic and Pentax cameras, and the one I have are excellent, although the last few times I've used my tablet, it can produce some great shots, if the thing isnt moving....
