MF Crazy Scientist's reversible face, bad quality?

Hi!

I bought a MF Crazy Scientist via bricklink last month, but the second face has red and grey lenses in his goggles. And the one that I bought from bricklink has whole red lenses.

I have a couple of Monster Fighter Scientists, and the left lens is tinted black on both sides of the head, while the right lens is either empty or tinted red.

Was the minifig that you bought new or used? Is it possible that the previous owner sharpied the second lens to be red as well?

I ordered it from a Bricklink store that it says "New", but apparently my MF Crazy Scientist's left lens on his second face was red.
