I already asked the official Mindstorms support, but they said they never tested it, and they don't know if there are plans to support Windows 8. Christian Quote

Today, if you go out and buy a new PC, you still can choose between Windows 7 and Windows 8. But for the next weeks and months, more and more new PCs will come with pre-installed Windows 8. If someone buys a 8547 set, it should be compatible with current OS. Quote
