monsinjor Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 B-OV-38C Hello. Here's my work from yesterday... a sheet metal workshop (I hope the name is right) It took me around 10 hours to build everything. So here is: The exterior... it is similiar that the ones I saw,,, ...look to the interior... ...here you can see two bending machines for L-profiles, two drilling machines, a saw for sheet metal cutting... the boss giving instructions to one of the workers... ...here is also a machine for making plates, a lathe and roller machine for curved profiles and 3-wheeled forklift... ...here is the guy on welding machine, welds profiles to make the frame for door and painting ''chamber'' for painting the final products, in this case the same door frame... ...another view... ...another view... ...and the whole section. What do you think? C&C are welcomed... Oh, and if someone want's, here's the .LXF file: http://www.brickshel...io/workshop.lxf Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) Its very realistic, good job recreating it. I would of made it slightly bigger as the roller press should not be against the wall this would not be like that in real live. Also they are no offices for the designers and the bosses of the company. Edited November 17, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Mazin Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Aaai... great job on this one So what is this guy in a mask doing with this flamethrower? Quote
Luke_likes_Lego Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Aaai... great job on this one So what is this guy in a mask doing with this flamethrower? 'Flamers' aren't welcome in this forum !!! Someone should give him a 'spray' On a serious note, great job once again monsinjor !! LLL Quote
splatman Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Oh look! (in the upper right, in the frame) You gave it a Splat! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 So that is where all the Lego Door Frames are made! Great details on all the machines! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Interesting design ideas there 'monsinjor'......odd fitting and machining gear in a sheet metal place.....must be more a general engineering workshop eh ? I designed and built one myself two years ago or there about's. LDD On 'monsinjor' ! (the drill presses are very original in design ) Quote
Hoexbroe Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hey, you certainly are very productive these days! ;-) I like it, although where I work, the machines are mainly green or yellow. I especially like the idea with teh door-frames; first greys, then painted. -Good stuff! Suggestions; Install a portal crane running on rails along the roof. (mind the two columns...) Substitute one of the forklifts for a lorry. Superdetailing; Chairs, desks, coffee-machine, toilets, lockerroom, wastebaskets, watch, time-stamping machine, fire-extinguishing-equipment, first-aid cabinet. -Use your imagination! ;-) Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Great work on the machines! The exterior looks very realistic as well Quote

mostlytechnic Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Love the floor - two greys with the orange safety strip to mark the aisle. Nice! Quote

uchina3sei Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Can you actually make these types of factory models with Lego? Quote
BrickCurve Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Nice job, although some texture on the exterior wall would help to brake up the large yellow area and give it a bit more texture. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Can you actually make these types of factory models with Lego? Of course! Granted this would require thousands of pieces, but it is very doable Quote
TWO2SEVEN Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Looks great! I really like the attention to detail. Quote
CityBuilder Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Wow, very realistic looking! I especially like the roof and the machinery. Quote
