xwingyoda Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 I'm in the temple after the one xwing's on. I HAVEN'T PLAYED ZELDA ALL OF 2007 YET! OH WHY!?!?! because you're insane ?? :-P That game is so addictive hehe !! I just need to fight that boss now !! Oh boy the controls of that "flying wheelie" is horrendous !! worse than the horse :-X Also there is something frustrating !! all the money I can collect for nothing since my bourse only contains 600 rubies !! So I cheeated to see where the golden insects were (I know thats bad !!) and I still need to move forward a lot to get the last one >:-( Oh well, its not really a problem since now I can teleport hehe !! I really hope the guys at Nintendo are seriously working on a new Zelda asap hehe Zelda On !! *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 X-O 600 hundred rupies!?!!? I can still only have 300!!! Howd' you get that?!!!!! I WANT to play Zelda. But I reallly can't. Somebody took the darnned cable away >:-( . Quote

Somebody took the darnned cable away >:-( . Ouch !! Go secretly buy another cable ;-) and hide it afterwards hehe (been there lool) You only need to give one insect to that little girl in the citadel (soory forgot her name ) and she will reward you with the big rupy holder !! And you will be able to carry 1000 after you give her ALL the golden insects of the game !! After the first insect, she pays good money !! Great to get that heart piece at the citadel where you need to give 1000 ruppies to the needy guy ;-) Play On !! EDIT: BTW, do not hesitate to share all of your tips in this thread ;-) *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Thanks, but I talked to that darnned girl and, meh, nothing :-( . Oh well, I'll get to it once I get that cable ASAP! Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I just need to fight that boss now !! Oh boy the controls of that "flying wheelie" is horrendous !! worse than the horse :-X It just has to be you getting used to the Wii Remote :-P . Controlling Epona works like a charm, and the spinner hasn't caused me any problems at all. I fail to see how you could possibly have problems controlling either... Quote
optimus-convoy Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hey, just beat Zelda the other day, and I thought I'd go the completest route. So, On the bug list, there's a pair on the fourth row, in the middle column, where the heck are those two? Oh, and can you max out your bombs anymore than 60 regulars? Thanks in advance. :-) Quote

optimus-convoy Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Thanks a bunch. :-) Now... on to the poes and heart pieces! *sing* Quote
Scouty Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 *Hint* *Hint*. HeartPiece find. In hyrule field, you can find a heartpiece above one of the trees. I believe the tree is near a forked road. It'll shine in the sun ;-) . Also, another heart piece, in the actual fishing game, there is one on top of a rock, you'll need to use the fishing lure to get this one :-) . Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 If you ask the fortune teller in Hyrule Castle Town for a love fortune, she will show you the location of Heart Pieces. Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 Thanks, but I talked to that darnned girl and, meh, nothing :-( . Oh well, I'll get to it once I get that cable ASAP! You need to catch one of the insects first !! There are two golden insects S of the citadel !! One on the left near the 3 trees (left of the fountain), and one on the field near the big tree on the right (warning: monster attack !!) ;-) It just has to be you getting used to the Wii Remote :-P . Controlling Epona works like a charm, and the spinner hasn't caused me any problems at all. I fail to see how you could possibly have problems controlling either... What are you implying there sir ?? That I'm a retard with the Wii control :-D :-P ?? * Epona certainly doesn't work as a charm !! * And the spinner does take a little tie of adaptation !! I feared about the boss, but he is so easy to defeat looool (its really great that all the bosses until now - haven't done the ice one yet though-are pretty easy ) Small tip: the use of those heavy boots on ice works like a charm loool No more slippering around ice picks (after you have the big ball, you just smash everything around anyhow loool) Wii ON !! *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Now, don't touch any big ice tower/mabobbers, I wouldn't want you to get a cold :-P , or freeze!!! Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 Now, don't touch any big ice tower/mabobbers, I wouldn't want you to get a cold :-P , or freeze!!! Looool, way too late for an advice :-P I got transformed into Mister Freeze a couple of times already hehe !! *yoda* Quote
JoeMI6 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Zelda keeps getting better and better. I think the spinner is really good, it adds a nice element to the game. I'm just going on to find the shards of the mirror now. It's odd, because I don't have much of an idea of how far I am into the game. But I think this is certainly the best damn Zelda yet. Bring it on Ganondorf, bring it rutting on ;-) Quote

Bring it on Ganondorf, bring it rutting on ;-) You raise an interesting point there. Namely this being the best Zelda yet. I wonder, how does everyone feel about this? To me, it's not the best Zelda. Well, not yet. It has potential, but I still rank Oracle of Ages (#1) and Ocarina of Time (#2) higher. My main problem with Zelda is that the first one you play will leave the biggest impact. To me, that was Oracle of Ages. Ocarina of Time was the perfection of a franchise in 3D. Whenever I play Twilight Princess, I can't help but to feel this is Ocarina of Time redone. It just has that feeling all over it. Places returning, items returning, people returning. What I miss in TP are really new functions. I'm not talking items, I'm talking functions. Ocarina of Time had 3D, Majora's Mask had the masks, The Wind Waker had the seas and the cartoony look. Now, don't go saying "but you can transform into a wolf!". That's not new, it's like the masks in Majora's Mask with the difference that there's only one transformation. The Dark World isn't new either, that was in A Link to the Past. Another thing I disliked about Twilight Princess is that it was too easy. I want my games to be challenging. Twilight Princess wasn't. Now, The Wind Waker was way too easy as well (did a 3 hearts playthrough without much problems), but I only died like once in Twilight Princess. And it wasn't even at a boss, those were way too easy. Your opinions? Quote
Scouty Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I NEED THAT CABLE!. Anyway, xwingyoda could be Mr. Alfred in the batlair set :-P . I don't want to read to much, or else I'm doomed of surprise. Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I'd have to agree on several points. The boss fights are jokes (more epic than difficult). Near the end they'd put a key in a chest in the same room as the lock! That isn't Zelda... There was just so much more potential. I look forward to phantom hourglass and the next Zelda Wii game (which has already been in production for a year) to raise the bar back up to OoT original standards. Especially since this was the "last 3-D zelda of its kind" Quote
Scouty Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Ooooh!! :-( . I got that darnned cable, but now I can't find the Wiimotes!!! Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 19, 2007 Author Posted January 19, 2007 Your opinions? Frankly, its the first Zelda game I'm playing, so as you said, this has a great impact on me ;-) I have the The Wind Waker game on GC but never really taken the time to start it ;-) So, for me everything was kind of new and exciting ;-) I do agree that the bosses are easy, which for me is great since I much prefer the discovery phases than fighting bosses, but thats just me ;-) Sure its way easier to finish that game 100% than the Grand Theft Auto franchise :-D On an overall, for one of the first games on a new console, I think its really good and clearly shows the potential for greater improvements ;-) I mean look at the first Tekken on PS2 and the last one on PS2 8- Quote
SuvieD Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I have played Zelda from the original until now. No Zelda game has ever captured the feel of the original. Whether that is good or bad that is hard to say. The best Zelda game in my opinion is actually Link's Awakening for the gameboy (old school gray colorless version). I don't understand why people think Zelda games are hard. Compared to the first two games, each and every Zelda game has been obnoxiously easy. Wind Waker being more of a watered down childs version of the Zelda franchise. I beat everything in OoT with only three hearts and one bottle except the final form of Ganon. I would have beaten the game but due to sweaty hands missed my final strike and was killed. I borrowed the game to someone and they erased my file because it only had three hearts. *sing* I do have to say that Twilight is certainly better than any Zelda made in the last ten years. Story, art and the amount of exploration/discovery are all top notch. Even with all the hype it did not dissapoint me in any respect other than the tutorial which was a litlle draw out and the relative ease of some of the enemies and dungeons. I do look forward to the next Zelda game and expect it to be better than Twilight. Quote
optimus-convoy Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Gotta agree with the boss difficulty in Twilight Princess, way too easy. In other ways, though, I thought it was one of the best Zelda games I've played. I think the key to a good Zelda game is the amount of detail, and exploration (Which I think Twilight Princess did very well. ;-) ) rather than battles. Although it would be great if Nintendo could up the battle difficulty in the next Zelda. Quote
Scouty Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Yay, I can play Zelda again...oooh, time for me to play...NOW!!! X-D . Quote
Scouty Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Double post, Oh no! Well, I have played, from that post, to now X-O ! I beat the snow temple, then went on to the next temple and beat that one. Now I'm up to something else. I felt it was kinda easy. The temple after the snow one was wayyyy easy. Nad the boss for both the snow and other one were quite easy as well. The bosses should have been done a liiitttlllee harder. Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 Indeed !! I like easy bosses, but here they are way too easy !! I had more difficulties beating up the big swordman keeping the Anima stick than that big and easy spider *wacko* Go figure !! But I do love the type of the next quest, its reall adventure !! And I really loved the forgotten village mission *wub* It has a real Sergio Leone feel to it 8- Quote
