Jackattack7 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 So far for the TMNT we are getting: 79100: Kraang's Lab Escape. 79101: Shredder's Dragon Bike. Preliminary pics for those sets here: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream 79102: Stealth Shell In Pursuit. Pics here: http://www.flickr.co...157631791879765 79103:Turtle Lair Attack. Pics here: http://www.flickr.co...157631791879765 79104: Shellraiser Street Chase. Pics here: http://www.flickr.co...57631791879765/ http://www.flickr.co...57631791879765/ 79105: Dr.Baxter's Robot Rampage. But I have seen the TV series and it got me thinking what could be next for TMNT. Most people are in love with the line already and that shows it's popularity in only three weeks, so if it's that popular surely there's going to be more. But what? Here's my ideas: Footsoldier Battle Pack, . Includes weapon stand. 70-80 pieces. . Includes 3 Footsoldiers. Spider Bytez Showdown, . Includes 2 story Kraang lab, cell phone, spider and boxes. 260-280 pieces. . Includes Raphael, Spider Bytez and 2 Kraang. Ripping Rider Rescue Mission, . Includes Kraang's van and the Ripping Rider. 320-340 pieces. . Includes Donatello, Snakeweed, April O'Neil, Kirby O'Neil and Kraang. Foot Clan Base, . Includes 3 story Dojo, Shredder armour, weapon room, Oroku Saki's room, training room, changing room and meeting room. 700-750 pieces. . Includes Leonardo, Michelangelo, Oroku Saki, Splinter, Chris Bradford or Karai and 3 Footsoldiers. Let me here your thoughts and opinions, please include what the set includes, what minifigures are included and piece estimates. Quote
BrickG Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I think one set based on the old cartoon would be neat. Though.. not sure Lego would be interested. Technodrome: Several hundred $$$ :P comparable to the Death Star 4x old cartoon style Ninja Turtles 1x old style Shredder 1x old style Kraang in his robot suit 1x Bebop 1x Rocksteady 1x April O'neil 2x Footsoldiers Doesn't include stupid play things like missiles. It's just the technodrome and minifigures. The technodrome can move though. Quote
HawkLord Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I'm not sure the Technodrome could work. One of the reasons that the Death Star is so good is that each level depicts a classic scene from the movies. A Technodrome could try to do the same thing, but I doubt there are that many memorable levels of it. At most, I can just remember a couple bits from the cartoon and video game. If Lego makes a classic set, I'd be happy with just a sewer section with all four Turtles, Shredder, and April. Then make another add-on section that has Splinter, Casey, Bebop and Rocksteady. Lego could, of course, split up the Turtles into each set and maybe add a Foot Solider to each. Basically, make it a combinational set, like the Star Wars Jabba's Palace and Rancor Pit, but alittle smaller. Quote
Miles Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I think one set based on the old cartoon would be neat. Though.. not sure Lego would be interested. Interest has little to do with it. LEGO has the license rights to the Nickelodeon show only. Other characters & vehicles(Bebop, Rocksteady, The Technodrome) are off limits, as I understand it. Unless Nick renegotiates their contract with the copyright holders, these characters, ect. will not be used in the current show, and by extension will not appear in any licensed merchandise. (Read: LEGO sets) Given the target market, it wouldn't make any sense for LEGO to make minifigs of Bebop and Rocksteady for mass production anyways. They won't be in the new Nick show, and though those of us that grew up on that cartoon would love them, AFOLs are just not where the money's at. Quote

Hobbestimus Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I'd love a really detailed rooftop set. Three or four different sized levels clustered together that represent the very top of some New York buildings, with a skylight and a water tower that both have collapsing action, and a fire escape platform with ladder on the side. It could come with two turtles, some foot ninjas, some Kraang, and maybe a civilian. Someone like Spider Bytez pre-mutation, perhaps. Quote
stayunspoiled Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) Pretty sure when Nick bought the rights, they got the lot. That includes the characters from the 80's Fred Wolf series. What they don't have rights for is the actual episodes of the Fred Wolf show itself. Bebop and Rocksteady have appeared (human form only) in the new IDW comic series (licensed by Nick also) as well as the Technodrome, Krang, Rock Soldiers (Granitor and Traag) etc I wouldn't be surprised if the showed up, Nick have said anything is possible and to stay tuned... You may have a point in relation to the IDW Comics, though from the direction the creators of the show are headed in, it seems unlikely that either will make an appearance. There's been 'rumors' of a possible cameo in season 2, but things can change so fast in television, who knows? Regardless, I'm not getting the feeling we'll be seeing either of these characters done in LEGO, period. (Hopefully, I'll eat these words, but for now I'm willing to bet on it.) Jackattack7 Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Because Leo is in the expensive sets, (also in my wanted set which would be the most expensive), I want: A turtles battlepack, . Includes weapon stand with all their weapons. . Includes Leo, Mikey, Don and Raf (also for lol's Spike.) I think this aswell as a footsoldier battle pack would be incredibly popular, and it would give TMNT a huge lift. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 As much as I understand the desire for a cheap way to get all the Turtles, I think it's the last thing Lego wants to do from a business standpoint. But, hey, dare to dream. Quote

HawkLord Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I think this aswell as a footsoldier battle pack would be incredibly popular, and it would give TMNT a huge lift. I like the idea, but it wouldn't give TMNT a huge lift. If anything it would hurt it. Putting all the major eggs in one basket and offering that will detract people from buying the other sets, thus less sales. I could see putting all four Turtles in a large $80-ish set, but a battle pack would be far too cheap for Lego to really make a strong profit on and for most people that would be all the TMNT stuff they'd need. I like the TMNT, but if they made a small Turtles battle pack, that's probably all I'd buy. Quote
BrickG Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Battle packs require an action figure deal. I don't think Lego has that for TMNT. Quote
HawkLord Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Battle packs require an action figure deal. I don't think Lego has that for TMNT. Are you stating that Lego needs an action figure clause in their licensing agreement in order to make battle packs? If so, you're mistaken. Lego has continually stated that they make building sets and do not cater to action figure type arrangements. As for battle packs, look at Star Wars. Hasbro owns the rights to make Star Wars action figures. And the one time Lego came close to infringing on that with their removeable figure magnet line, Hasbro was able to shut them down. Lego's arrangement is to build sets, so as long as Lego is able to do that with TMNT then they can make any types of sets they want. Technically, this could mean we'll see the usual keychains and magnets, as we have with other recent lines like Marvel, DC, LOTR, etc. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) Kraang Ship Escape: $29.99 it would include the Kraang ship, Karai's bike, and the Stealth Shell in bike form. Minifigs: Karai, Leonardo, and two Kraang brains. Cockroach Battle: $39.99 the giant cockroach (white form) and the Kraang drill. Minifigs: Raphael and 3 Kraang. BrickG Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Anything with Bebop, Rocksteady and THE Kraang (the d00d named Kraang not the species). Quote
Kintobor Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 (edited) Just as long as we get a Karai and Casey Jones minifig in the foreseeable future, I'll be happy. Edited April 28, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
Oky Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 From the latest episode: Kraang underwater base with Turtle Sub. Quote
