Carsten Svendsen Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Who said that LEGO motors and propellers have to be used? I believe it's possible to make a very good model and just put some real RC motors and propellers on it to make it fly. This reminds me that I've got an unfinished project to finish..... Quote

I see what you mean, but there is no challenge for me in taking something that is known to work and insert it into Lego. Technics was for me always something which always had a solution, but required you to figure it out. Ive been keeping an eye on pneumatic engines (2480 RPM is probably enough to hoover a bit), with the use of a high torque engine for some air pumps. Generally Im lookint into a 8 Air Pump/4 Engine pump combination. The only reason I need a pneumatic engine is for the rpm. Unlike you i will try to make some kind of helicopter, and the high RPM is perfect. Quote
Carsten Svendsen Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 It'll probably still be too heavy though will all those pumps/hoses and compressed air weighing it down. Quote
