Hi everyone. I'm sure everyone here has seen pictures of the new bat and tumbler set. If so you will notice the tumbler is somewhat small and puny for a man like bane. So I decided to build him the tumbler he deserves, And do a black one too while i'm at it. So without further ado here are my manly tumblers!

Not bad, but it's way too square. One of the Tumbler's main defining characteristics is that it contains next to none right angles. Of course that's impossible to do in LEGO, but you can achieve the same effect by many other methods. Here's a reference picture:

Hope this helps!

Here is a fantastic rendition of the tumbler by another member. The parts are available, you just have to be creative and find them:

You have a great start and with some more details I think they could be fantastic looking!

I have been experimenting with different ideas but they always look wrong, The first looked like it had been squashed and another looked too confuseing and ugly. I want to keep it relatively simple(but not too simple). By the way i'm perfectly happy with its size I just want to change the style a little.

Although those Tumblers you linked are fantastic mocs, I think they're a bit on the large side. My favorite one is this one: http://www.flickr.co...N06/6279738782/. The builder even made instructions available. By the way talking about all these Tumblers made me revisit my own, so a potential future update is possible.

the official tumbler is around this size. if you count the studs, it's actually 8 studs by 8 studs. it's kinda blocker than your linked version but that's because the official version needs to be stable enough for little kids to play with. your linked version will crumble under light play. many steps involved illegal building methods too.

i for one, actually like the official mini tumbler. it's just right to fit in a regular town set. it's about as wide as a bus, and that's about the right scale anyway. the bat is also cool except for the blue highlights. that can easily be moc'ed into all black. the size is also just right.

I agree. I really don't understand why everyone has such big problems with the tumbler. It is waaay closer to scale than the first version!

My three biggest problems with it are that it lacks camo coloring, those hideous stickers, although they don't necessarily have to be applied, and that the front is executed horribly. Other than that, I think the scale of it is pretty good.

at that small size it is always hard to apply camo. you can always swap out tan parts for dark tan or brown parts.

as for the front - it's the best application of existing bricks unless you ask for new molds. it will leave room for the next iteration - tumbler 3.0.

but overall, i agree that while the size is perfect for city sets, it's too small for the regular kid friendly size. the first version is obviously too big. it needs to be slightly smaller than the first but bigger than current - like the agents vehicle sizes. those would be perfect for kids. i think the cuusoo project tumbler is about the right size for kids.

Joker, you should post some of your other attempts here. I'm sure we can all give you some more ideas on how you could get it to look really good then with just a few small edits :)

I look forward to seeing more!
