Vincent Kessels Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Here is my new Modular building, the Dark Red house. This is the front of the house. And this is the back of the house. The sides of the house open. There is no interior yet. [Flickr set] See Post #8 for the interior. Edited April 1, 2013 by Vincent Kessels Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Very nice house! The dark red looks great and the railings in front of the windows are very creative The opening features are a great touch too Quote
badboytje88 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 It's a very very nice MOC you got there. This may sound stupid but the ting that really makes the MOC is the color of the door! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Looks great. Why is the double tan line on the right side of the second floor that high? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Delightful creation there 'Vincent', I the side opening feature and I can't wait to see the interior once completed ! Brick On 'VK' ! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Thanks for all the replies! Why is the double tan line on the right side of the second floor that high? It should be the same height. I was so busy with the roof that I missed that error. Luckily it's easy to fix. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 It's a simple design, but it works very well. My favourite is the colour combination. Keep up the good work building! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 I finally finished the interior. With thanks to L@go for discussing interior ideas. The Dark Red House is shown here with the Gravel Path to the left and the Dark Red Corner Garden to the right. The house is being renovated. The last windows are being painted. And the kitchen is almost finished. The bedroom of the Dark Red House is being carpeted. The bathroom is already finished. Here is a closeup of the carpenter. The roof floor is used for storing the christmas and halloween decorations. For more pictures see the Flickr set Quote
Redhead1982 Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 I've seen it on Flickr before and thought I'd missed it on EB. As commented before, another great house. I like the simplistic exterior - the facade looks perfect in dark red with hint of details in tan. The lonely flower on the roof is a nice touch, although not so much for the person staying in the house. The interiors surprised me. Including a carpenter caught in a moment of his work is a great idea. And the bathroom curtain is probably my favourite detail - it's fantastic. Having additional modules (gravel path and garden) is a nice touch to keep up with reality and to break a line of houses on the street. Great work (as usually). Quote
L@go Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 It's a very nice house in itself, but on the inside you've really pulled off that feeling of refurbishing that we talked about. The kitchen is great, and the saw is just about perfect. It's also very interesting to see that modular alley/garden solution in practice - it works very well! Quote
The Dutch Guy Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 As always, a very beautiful en very Dutch house. I love it Vincent. Great work there. Great choise of colour too. Quote
