I bought it in the year it was released, my second set after my dark ages. i bought this this one week ago. Model is complete, but i don't know if the motor works correct. IMO it's slow. Any experience? I had a similar kind of problem. 5 years ago my motor was not running at all. It was even not possible to turn it by hand. After opening the motor I saw that the permanent magnet was totally fragmented. Perhaps you have a similar problem, but is it in a starting stage. I had to replace the motor. Now the isolation of the threads is becomening loose. I've never had this with threads of Lego. It's also possible that it is not the motor but the elektronics or threads.
