TooMuchCaffeine Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Been building this for months now, finally got it finished. Hope you guys like it. Flickr link Quote
robuko Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Oh my! This is absolutely beautiful. Love what you've done with the windows, and the crane/sub combo especially Quote
Hammerstein NWC Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Just perfect. Details everywhere to like sub, crane weapons editing. Thanks for sharing... Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Beautiful SHIP I especially like the studs you left exposed on the hull and the gun ports Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Wow so nice, so steampunk but yet realistic Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Awesome, would not look out of place in an Osprey book on the Victorian Navy. Quote
Parks and Wrecked Creation Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Very nice! The exposed studs especially -they give a great feel for the rivets that would be there. Quote
Buckshot Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Awesome! This is one of those MOCs that makes browsing Eurobricks so much fun. Thanks for sharing! Quote
DraikNova Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Awesome, I love the windows and the bit behind that, and that gun-like thing is nice too. Quote
Laura Beinbrech Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Excellent work! That mini sub on the back has given me some ideas on how to make a post-apocalyptic pirate submarine for my setting, which was giving me some trouble for quite some time. By the way, does this thing have an interior, or is all the space used for structural stuff to support the SNOT? Quote
Weil Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Fantastic moc! The upside down hull fits in perfectly. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Woah! This is one sweet steampunk MOC. The color scheme is brilliant, details (crane especially) are noice and the big hull parts are used very well. Quote
TooMuchCaffeine Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Thanks for the comments folks. Much appreciated. Sadly this has no interior, but I plan on building some lights and perhaps some motorised elements into it for taking to a show next year. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I don't know much about Steampunk, but from what I can tell, this would fit in nicely! I just went to a Steampunk themed costume party, so I am understanding it a bit more. But this thing is beautiful! At first I had no idea about the curves up top, until I realized the upside down ship hull (perfection!). The ship itself is beautiful, but I really like the black/white photo at the start. Looks superb. And the exposed studs on the side is absolutely brilliant. Keep up the good work. I think I've always been impressed with your builds. Quote
mephistopheles Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Awesome ship! I love that steampunk feel to it! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 AWESOME work 'TooMuchCaffeine' , now let me challenge you.... Brick On 'TMC' ! Quote
NiceMarmot Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Excellent steampunk MOC! Really like the general shape of the hull, as well as all the little details. Really nice job with the rivet-work, btw. Also was intrigued enough to get your novella; haven't read it yet, but looking forward to it. I'll then post a review (on Amazon US). Is there any way you can get your nine great Amazon UK reviews to show on Amazon.com? Edited October 2, 2012 by NiceMarmot Quote
