Cunctator Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Hi to everybody! Iām still under the effects of modular madness so if you are not yet tired to see modulars here you have my last corner building for my city! Entrance to upper floors: At the ground floor a bicycles store and a pizza takeout: Second and third floor: Hope you like it! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Excellent corner modular 'Cunctator', that dark blue is perfect and nice big screen TV....not much on at the moment eh ? Any interior shots of the bike repair shop ? Brick On 'Cunctator' ! Quote
meyerc13 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Nicely done. I like how you've incorporated the Pizza Shop and Bike shop, plus you have so many little details that really add to it such as the refrigerated display case and what I assume is a calzone in the pizza shop, the fridge and freezer in the apartment, even the upstairs hallway on the top floor. LAKAbricks Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Very nice modular building, Cunctator. I like the simple architecture and the blue colour. But what I also like is the the small square/yard behind the buildings. I just took a look at your city, it also looks very nice indeed Quote
streifen Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Great MOC! I like the strong colour (Blue) you have used. In fact, if my memory serves me well, this is the 1st time I have seen a corner modular with windows on 3 sides! The park you have made behind the fire brigade looks great too and in place! but are you contravening any fire safety code as the fire engine will not be able to have a clear path to exit from the back? SalvoBrick Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Very nice! I like it! Love the garden and the trees too. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Well done. There are some nice details in the building. Overall, dark blue colour fits in nicely. The furnished interiors look great and give an impression of a cosy place with a huge tv set. One of the details that caught my eye, is the flower bed with the bench in front of the water fountain. soccerkid6 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Great color choices and the bley window design is excellent Good interiors too; I especially like the pizza place Quote
Kristel Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Iām still under the effects of modular madness so if you are not yet tired to see modulars here you have my last corner building for my city! I don't think I could ever get tired of looking at modular buildings! This is a great building. The dark blue / tan combination is quite striking. I also like that you have incorporated the pizza parlour and bike shop, but my favourite part is the area next to the building, particularly the flower bed. Every city needs a little "green" space to escape from the crowds and relax. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Very neat addition. The dark blue/tan/light bley combo works great. I almost did something similar for my Modular Madness entry, but I didn't have enough dark blue, so I used dark red. I still want to build a Modular in dark blue though. I like the little outdoor area in the heart of the city. I considered doing something similar to my own. Keep up the good work! I will be interested to see more. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Nice corner building, Cunctator. The Tan works very well with the Dark Blue. I like your solution for the corner. You've could have used it to extend the corner even more; make it really stick out. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Great corner modular Cunctator! I really like how the first floor is divided into the pizzeria and bike shop, as opposed to one per floor. And the dark blue, tan, and gray really look good together Quote
harton Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Really like what you've done, the use of Dark Blue is not common such as Dark Brown and can be in some ways expensive. The pizzeria is great, those pizza plates are always good to use and the guy in is couch with is chicken leg, beautifull detail! Your integration with other modular is great. I just want to see more bike, more of it. Keep on. Quote
The Dutch Guy Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Very well done Cunctator. I love the use of the dark blue. The Pizza place is great. Very detailed. The apartment is well done too. Love the way you made seperate rooms. I have not been abele to do that. Mayby i have a close look on how you did it (if you don't mind getting your ideas stolen bij me). A real eye catcher is the square behind the building. Great details there. Quote
Wedge09 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Very good work  I like a lot the interior of the apartaments and the plaza with the fountain and the trees  Quote
andyscouse Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I love this MOC! The garden, the incorporation of both Pizza shop & Bike shop, the apartment ... a gorgeous building! Quote
Darth Dino Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Hi very nice! What was your source for he most dark blue parts? Dino Quote
marvinblue Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Nice work with the building. It's fantastic how you've put the two shops in the bottom. Well done!! Quote
ProfessorChaos Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Fantastic! Amazing details everywhere, especially inside. The pizza chef even has his certificate on the wall^^ The place in front of the pizza shop is very nice. Also like the dark blue/tan combination and the window construction! Quote
Kai NRG Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Nice job, I like the dark blue and the interior is great! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Wow this is absolutely awesome! I love the bar Quote
Karin (kvdnberg) Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I love the dark blue and the building looks terrific, love the interior too though I couldn't help but notice a lack of doors and stairs that don't seem to go anywhere ;-) but hey, details details. Quote
Cunctator Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks to all for the nice comments, Iām glad you liked it! @Darth Dino, the source was bricklink, the bricks 1x2x2 have lower prices respect, for example, to the expensive 1x4 @Karin, unfortunately in the pictures the blacks seems crushed, in real bricks it looks better, anyway I think I'll try a different color for the stairs...
