Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Yeah, that's what I was thinking they were going to make it out of. Also like the ExoForce hair. rubberish. Quote
Vader Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Its the best type for headpieces like these if you ask me and the softer plastic is probably gonna make it easier to remove the head. Quote
oo7 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Seriously, I hope that the Kit Fist might be hard plastic instead of a softer plastic. Why would that be, Mr. Scouts? And then cry about it :-P . Lord *vader* , a crybaby :-P . Just messing with you. Oh yeah, you should have seen what a whiney b*tch he was about that Padamomay or Panda Bear! :-D Well looks like i have 2 peole wishing to visit the chamber............... X-D :-P :-P ;-) Make that three. >:-) Quote
Vader Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Make that three. >:-) So be it............. *vader* Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 First of all, a hard plastic head would be more durable, the tentacles wont break as easily. Second of all, it'll be shiny and glossy X-D !!! Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 The new Kit-Fisto head looks... rubber-ish. -ZotS Quote
oo7 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 First of all, a hard plastic head would be more durable, the tentacles wont break as easily. Second of all, it'll be shiny and glossy X-D !!! Actually, the rubber is more durable. X-D You step on rubber, it bends with out breaking; you step on hard plastic, it snaps. Some parts of specialized minifig heads (obviously) need to be very thin, so they really need to made of flexible material. The long Kit Fisto tantacles are just begging to be snapped off. But shin and glossy, there's no arguing with that! ;-) Quote

For sure. casewindu Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 For the heck of it, I'm going to list most sets their cost (In USD.)7662 MTT: $99.99 7661 JSF w/ HyperDrive Ring: $49.99 7660 Naboo Fighter w/ Vulture Droid: $29.99 Thos are those three sets. For sure. According to prices posted before in euros Sith Infiltrator 7663: $71.43 Tie Crawler: $90.91 Dear goodness, if those are the prices of those sets, something really must be messed up with TLC *wacko* !!! why is the tie crawler soooooooooooooooooooooo expensive!?! >:-( Quote
sam89 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Because that's the European price translated into dollars. We pay about twice as much for sets over here, so the TIE Crawler will be $50 at the most. Quote
Scouty Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I would still say $50 for the TIE Crawler is still to much. I would say 39.99. Like the Y-Wing. Quote
OOM-9 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I agree. Those prices for the SI and the TIE Crawler are way too steep. THe TIE should be $40 at the most and the SI should be $20 at the most because it looks like it only has a few more pieces than GG's starfighter. Quote
Scouty Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I just saw, from Toy Fair pictures, that the MTT Naboo fighter and the JSF are coming out in august. http://www.rebelscum.com/tf2007/LEGO/default.asp . A closer look at the battle droid arms, not bad...not bad at all. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 yeah, they're exactly like the skelly arms. I wish they were bent though, I mean who holds their arms out so stiff? Even droids :-P Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Guys, can we stop the pricing discussion (why is SW sets that expensive...). Feel free to continue it here !!. We had that discussion so many times but I'll leave it open because it clearly shows how Europe is screwed and pissed off :-D Cool pic ImperialScouts ;-) : a 16 gun rack 8- Quote
Brainbox Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Yum, yum :-D I see that the Vulture Droids head swivels. Cool. The hyperdrive ring looks pretty good too, and I'm liking Kit Fisto. But I still don't know what that thing with the MTT is. Quote
Scouty Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 One bent arm, one normal arm *wacko* that's wierd. Ah well :-) . That is alot of guns. With the SI, I think Lego were thinking they were giving us to much :-D !! The vulture droid is probably on a 2x2 swival plate with...uhm, I have no idea how it's conected to those droid arms X-D . That picture is from RebelScum, but unless you mean that I found it, okay :-) . Edit: Oh, it's on a 1x2 plate with the cliping attachment on it. Quote

xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I have a swooshable question regarding that Vulture !! How long will it take before those droid arms brake ?? :-D Seriously, those droid arms are pretty weak and they are suppose to open/close both wings and make the "head" move :-| Brake ON !! :-D *yoda* Quote
SuvieD Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 The SI at that price can not be all that is included. Yoda even said it was too small for that price. I am beginning to wonder what else it will come with. Maybe a desert area or some other extras like the wookie catamaran did. I am really liking most of these but after seeing the new castle pictures and prices I will probably be getting mostly those and space. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 One normal, and one straight. Nice idea LEGO! -ZotS Quote
Steff Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 why they didn't show the sith- thing ;) and the tie crawler at the ny toy fair? Quote
Vader Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 why they didn't show the sith- thing ;) and the tie crawler at the ny toy fair? Who knows :-/ its not the first time that lego hasnt shown all the new sets at a toy fair and i expect it wont be the last either. Quote

Exactly, it has to have some sort of bonus for that priece |-/ If I had to guess I would go with 2 MFs (Dart Maul and fleshie Qui Gon) + Darth Maul's bike + piece of scenery !! Anyhow lets hope for something worth the price ;-) *yoda* Quote

You know im really hoping this set is better than what weve seen before. Quote
