xenologer Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 ...Thanks for the info What's a 'Dealers Catalog'? and how can I get one? ( I wonder if TRU would have one... maybe if I pick out the most eager to please new employee and ask...)? Did the catalog specify any release dates for these sets? (Space!) (or does the appearance of a catalog Imply an approximate release date?) and repeat all the Space questions that Snefroe asked... I'd love to know that too... lastly, a general question for those in the know... if TLC hates to leak info, Why do they let specific people like Dealers see stuff early?? Its not like the said Dealer would be able to do anything useful with the advance info like ganer publicity, right, since that would be a Leak. Not complaining mind you, I love Leaks, it just seems to me that it's a bad idea to release catalogs and whatnot like that if you're on TLC's end and are trying to avoid them... I just wonder what their reasoning is... Quote
KimT Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The only Battank from what I know is from Frank Miller Quote
phoinix Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 i few days ago i saw the second batman movie (again) You know the one with penguin and cat-woman... Its the best movie IMO cause it has that dark 50s city sence and the most spooky buildings... Thats the Gotham i LOVE and hope for!!! anyways in the film penguin has a whole gang of circus people and they all live under the Zoo in the penguin section (ofcourse) THAT would make a great set!!! i mean....enough with batman and his rides...lets see what the bad guys have!!! the penguins submarine in the batcave set was very cool but that set is very ecxpensive Wouldnt it be great if Lego made one set for every bad-guy?? a joker set...a penguin set...a poison ivy set.... we should consentrate a bit more on them!!! they are great minifigs and its a shame for lego to have them in only one set.... i also have a question about arkham asylum.... isnt it availiable in europe?? is it only in the us??? Quote
Brainbox Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 As Brain said, another version of the batmobile would be very welcome. Perhaps in dark blue. Now what we need is the Insane Clown Posse that lives in the scrapyard and Batman hooked onto Gotham's power supply whilst beating up good old Superman *wub* *wub* No, what we need is Superman. i also have a question about arkham asylum....isnt it availiable in europe?? Yes, but only S@H Quote
captaintau Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Semi-off topic for a second. Someone above talked about the second Batman film. Well, I had the fortune to train with the principal stuntman on the first two Batman films, Dave Lee, who doubled for Michael Keaton lots. The Penguin's goons attack, one pops up in front of Batman and gets headbutted - not planned. Goon was out of place and that was the best that Sensei Dave could. The director loved it and kept it. Sorry. Hope that interested someone. Quote
DoubleT Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The First pics of two new Batman Pics are now also Online.. Quote
sam89 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 They look pretty good, the Tank is much bigger than I expected, and look at all those treads! There appears to be another figure with the Tank set. Perhaps Bane? Quote
UltraPrime Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 They look pretty good, the Tank is much bigger than I expected, and look at all those treads! There appears to be another figure with the Tank set. Perhaps Bane? Having zoomed in as close as I can without it getting unrecognisable, he definately has Bane's mask... Quote
androodeetoo Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 They look pretty good, the Tank is much bigger than I expected, and look at all those treads! There appears to be another figure with the Tank set. Perhaps Bane? Looks like a black head, blue pants, flesh arms...Bane would be my guess as well!!! Super cool (if we're correct). Quote
Vader Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I love the look of that tank *wub* this set is worth it just for that alone and i have to agree it looks like bane to me also which would be great though it could just be some lame henchman. Cant say i like the plane set though, it just dosent seem very batman to me. Quote
oo7 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Yes!!! I hoped TLG could do it although the odds were against it, but they did do it! A villain headquarters! The tank set looks much better than I expected. As for the chopper set the chopper itself looks OK, but I don't think Scarecrow would own a fancy vehicle for villainous means although a tan/brown biplane is a very wise and kind of cute choice. But it is very appropriate for crop dusting! X-D Although the biplane looks probably nice standing alone. Thank you DoubleT! About the new pictures, Batman, Space, Star Wars; the hastily executed croping job makes me think this is from that dealer's catalog, correct? Quote
Athos Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The tank doesn't do anything for me, but a bane figure might be nice. The biplane, however, looks very nice. And another Scarecrow would be a welcome addition to Castle. Steve Quote
Clone comander Nodra 999 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Holy crap!!! that tank looks like a futuristic vesion of the tank from indiana jones! i new the tank would be cool after reading this This is the largest Batmobile ever, easily straddling a three lane highway. Batman mentions how he "modified her during some nasty riots" 15 years prior, and that the only thing that can damage it "isn't from this planet." It easily shrugs off gunfire, grenades, and rocket launcher attacks, and offers its own array of heavy weaponry. In addition to its offensive capabilities, this Batmobile is equipped with an extensive medical bay. when i read "straddles a three line highway" and "cant be damaged "i knew it would be cool. theirs no need for the heli copter. Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I'm positively sure I'm going to purchase the Riddler's hideout in the near future. The Bat Tank is much better than I imagined it to be. Quote
oo7 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 theirs no need for the heli copter. If you want to stay stationary in the air to drop or pick up something/someone, observe/record data for a sustained period of time, or land or take off in tight spaces a chopper is your only resort. Quote
phoinix Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 this is deffinetly NOT what i was hoping for...that tank looks like a huge one piece thing...and why on earth would we need a black helicopter? the only good thing is the bad-guys!! great plane for scear-crow... hope there are more batman coming... Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 They just HAD to include a set for scarecrow now that he can have an ACTUAL scythe :-P Phenomenal sets here too! Quote

Actually, helicopters need more space than people think to take off and land. They certainly don't land completely vertically. Nice pics. Looking forward to buying the sets. 2007 is getting expensive. Quote
boxcar3 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 wikipedia says that the other two sets are bat-cycle with harley quinn and the penguins submarine! Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 wikipedia says that the other two sets are bat-cycle with harley quinn and the penguins submarine! Wikipedia? Well they have the information first, and they're always correct :-| Give me about ten minutes and I can have it saying the new sets contain Luke Skywalker and Dumbledor :-D I think we need to wait for someone credible to confirm any more sets, not wiki ;-) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 The helicopter looks excellent. Strange choice of vehicles for Scarecrow though - an adventure plane? Just seems out of place. I'll have to do some Scarecrow research. Quote

Have u ever watched the cartoon! (batman tas). Trust me i grew up on that show every sunday morning at 11:00am i know for a fact the batjet can hover or if he wanted he could just jump out and let the auto-pilot take over. as far as i know there was no bat chopper. *n* Quote
