TheWarden Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Been a while since I uploaded anything and this is part of the reason why. I've been working on this off and on for a few months, but have made some smaller MOCS that I plan to upload soon. So, this was mostly sketched out with some not so good sketches here if you really want to see them. The style is mixed - open back Classic Town style in the rear for the back buildings, full sides and roof for front buildings and all to almost Modular level of detail as best as I can. If you ever wondered what a AFOL with an architecture background might build... well, I tried to use some of that knowledge here with a bit of modern, Art Deco, and other influences. All roofs and floors will lift off. Interiors are planned if I don't get bored. This is 10x the size of a project I usually build in scope. Obviously it's a work in progress, any comments or suggestions are quite welcome. Ferrik Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 This WIP looks excellent, even though it's not completed yet. It's nice to see that you took the time to sketch everything out and plan before MOCing. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) Looks great so far, I'm in the middle of a major revam of my city, and you have given me some great ideas. I might try drawing my ideas first aswell, could never figure out how to use LDD. Of topic,I notice your a trekie (or treker) with that wonderful blueprint of the D. Im working on some scaled replicas of the varoius Bridge modules at the moment, I've had to buy a 42X42 baseplate just to do Picards Bridge. Good luck and I look forward to seeing updates.
