Editing a topic indefinitely?

Hello staffers!

I want to create a thread; "1974's trains" with all my MOcs instead of spamming/creating new threads each time I come up with something new

So, is it possible to edit a thread/main topic over a long time, say years?

Is there a 'timeout' for editing in general?

The content of the first post can always be edited by both the original poster and Staff. Onlt Staff can edit topic titles and descriptions.
