Really captured a classic Hot Rod, or what I think of as a hot rod in that, it's also cool that is is a display piece with power functions, rather than the typical drive around car. You get my vote.

Number 45 supporter here. Well done on a great MOC. I really like the colour choice and tyres (Australian Spelling :sweet: ) Would love to see it beside the 8070 Supercar B model. Again great MOC and good luck on Cuusoo!

Weeell, it does, sort of, but it's minimal. Maybe a millimeter? Haha... it had more, when I first designed it. I built the car from front to back. It became heavier than I intended, so now the front end just barely hovers over the surface. I thought about raising the front height by adjusting the shock position. But then the steering geometry and other parts had to be adjusted too, so I decided that was too much work. Besides, the car's stance looks pretty mean the way it is now. One day I may decided to rebuild the whole car from scratch, to resolve these minor issues it has.

Thanks much! It just got a approved a few seconds ago: lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/25263

I think your model shows a lot of work and imagination, but I have some helpful (I hope!) suggestions to help you reduce that weight in the front. First, the front tires are really way too wide, they should be only about half that width (or even less, if you can do it). The radiator shell should completely contain the radiator (actually, be integral with it), and that radiator shell is way too tall -- by about half. The firewall seems to be three layers thick, when it needs to be just one (the widest one). I’d suggest a bench seat, as well -- which would be lighter with no console. And I’d lose that useless trim around the rear wheels, too, you don’t really need it and it doesn’t really help the appearance. Also, you have the doortop not quite flush (or the same height) as the rest of the body for some reason, though it should be, and you have door handles!! (Gotta lose those!) You have individual zoomies, when you ought to consider block-hugger headers. (A LOT of weight to be lost there!) And you have 2 fuel lines to the injectors when all you need is one; plus, the injectors could be integral with the scoop. Try adding a tach but losing 2 of the smaller gauges. If you try all this weight-loss I bet your front end will work just fine, and without your adjusting the steering!!
