dillthepill Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Well, as I see the distinct new 2007 e-f mechs, I wonder, how different will the new sets be? Will the summer sets have the Golden City or a huge robot mech? Will the have a 1 on 1 battle set? I sure hope not(well, maybe a Golden City, but I want new ideas). TLC used up a lot of good ideas last year, a tank, a jet, a gate and fortess scene. What do you think we will see this year? Please post. Quote
natelite Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 i like to see more mech warrior types, sort of like the alt model of grand titan. i think EF's mechs are a little too large. if they only isolated mechs to a few key individuals, they could have made the forces out of ordinary vehicles. of course, then the little kids would complain that EF is not mecha. the way i see it, a squadron or even battalion should have 1 or 2 mech at most, with lots of armor suited foot soldiers on APV type vehicles and recon vehicles. lots of jet aerial vehicles for support, ie heli gunships or fighter airplanes. as it is right now, if EF were a castle theme it would almost be like an entire army made up of cavalry and carriage units. definitely out of whack. my ideal EF theme would be lots of army builders comprised of foot soldiers and of mechs no higher than 2 minifigs (like many of the armored suit models in BS). mechs of the size of cyclone defender should be like 1 or 2 in a battalion and mechs of the size of blade titan should be like 1 or 2 in the entire garrison. with that scale in mind, it would be easy to make BT out of like 600-700 bricks/parts instead of the current scrawny looking mech. and it would allow multiple purchase of the same sets (army building) from the smaller mechs and foot soldiers. if the theme still mainly remain stick figure mechs, i may have to move to better themes. i'll probably keep star wars as this fits in with my preference really well (lots of foot soldiers supported by well designed vehicles and machines), and maybe start collecting castle or space. heard that the new rumored castle theme is going to be fantastic in terms of army building. :-P will have to see how space pans out... Kahgarak Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I think that the mechs should be about the size of the Battle Walkers from the videogame Battlefield: 2142. Also, they have no need for windscreens. They can completely enclose the pilots and add cameras to let them see. Quote

Well I dont think we'll see anymore of the stupid Iron Drone's. Hopefully anyway. Quote
dillthepill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Oh yeah, and a couple more questions. Do you think Ha-Ya-To will still be there? Do you think he will have a new uniform? And do you think they will come up with a new weapon? Last year they had disc shooters. What do you think they'll have if they do create a new one? Anyways, I want to see an air vehicle for the humans, sort of like the Gate Assault alternate model for the humans. That is all I can think of for now. Please post. :-) Quote
vahkimetru Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Unfortunately, it looks like Ha-Ya-To is gone. Only 3 machines were found in the Golden Tower, and Takeshi, Hikaru, and Ryo, were sent to the Golden City. Ah well, he was my least favorite. Quote
dillthepill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Well, that would make sense. If they are killing off Iron Drones, they should get rid of Ha-Ya-To. He only guarded the gate and his name is very annoying to type. :-P Quote
legolad911 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Yeah I know what you mean and we may not see anymore of Ha-Ya-To cos' he does'nt have a mech in 2007. But then again he does have White Lightining. Oh and dill I have built a air veichle for the humans. And will TRY to post it. Quote
vahkimetru Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 About Iron Drones, the code brick says Claw Crusher is driven by an Iron Drone, but the box says it's a Devastator. Hmmmmm Also, I have proof of a robot fortress. 1. The EXF hair colors are red, green, baby blue, and purple 2. The KK hair colors are red, green, baby blue, and purple 3. In year 1 EXF we got a good-guy base 4. In KK year 1 we got the castle of Morcia 5. In EXF year 2 we should get a bad-guy fortress 6. because Vladek had a fort in KK2.2! This is no chance occurence! There are so many other relations in EXF and KK! Quote
dillthepill Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 LL911, I was talking about seeing it in a 2007 set. ;-) But you should try and post it anyways, and if you get stuck, just send me a PM telling me what you don't get and I'll do everything to help you. Oh, Vahkimetru, you may have a pretty strong point. I am hoping very much for a robot base. I don't think having a Golden City set would be as good, but it would be pretty cool too. Well, I think Exo-Force will go on for a long time, and surely there will be at least 1 robot fortress. Quote
exo attack Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I think we may get the mechs that were in front of the golden city gates in comic 26. Quote
Zarkan Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Unfortunately, it looks like Ha-Ya-To is gone Nope. The club member exclusive game on the Exo-force website had Ha-ya-to in a NEW white and gold suit, so I think It's safe to say that we will see him in at least one set and in a few of the comics. ;-) Quote
Kahgarak Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I hope Ha-Ya-To isn't gone.He's my favourite. Quote
vahkimetru Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Last I checked he was normal old suit. I can't wait to see him! Quote
dillthepill Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 Nope. The club member exclusive game on the Exo-force website had Ha-ya-to in a NEW white and gold suit, so I think It's safe to say that we will see him in at least one set and in a few of the comics. ;-) i played that game, and I also noticed. It is just a bit of gold and blue on the torso but the rest is white. His hair looks different, too. Quote
Chuck Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 For any of you interested, I spoke to one of the people on the EF design team at brickfest, and I personally requested on behalf of the community here for more sets with genki. Not sure if it worked, but he seemed pretty cool. Not a lie at all. -l2k- Quote

exo attack Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I hope Ha-ya-to is available in 2007 because then who would we push off the golden city tower? :-/ Quote
