krentam Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Hey everyone, I'm going to Legoland Billund next week, and have some questions for which I can't seem to get proper answers. So at lego shop, there is a Pick a brick wall, right? What are the prices? And which pieces should I try to find (I know - small, rare colours ... but still. tips from experts are wanted. ) My next interest (a great one, I must say) are the minifigures. Is there a Make a minifigure station? And what are the prices there? Do they have a good range of torsos, legs, etc.? Thanks for all the answers! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 The PaB changes often and works by weight. I was there in May, so prices and selection might have changed... As for BaM (Build a Mini) there was a great selection of older series CMF parts to choose from and some other figure parts too. It's a huge shop and full of great sets and merch. Multiverse Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 There is a wonderful site dedicated to keeping FOLs up-to-date about which pieces can be found in which PaB walls. It's four months since the one in Billund was last updated, but I would expect that a lot of the pieces are still there. As far as advice goes, I would definitely secure myself a load of medium blue 1x2 bricks - and (if you haven't already taken them at another PaB wall, since they seem to be quite common there at the moment) the same goes for the Dark Red and trans- or smoke-clear 1x2s. As for price, I seem to recall that it's 129 DKK for a large cup or 79 DKK for a small one. That's unless you bring your own, already-paid-for cup, of course. =) Quote

I only know the prices for Legoland Germany: 9€ (ca. 70 DKK) per 100g. Yes, you read right. However, I managed to 'save' some money, as I did a bit of a research before hand. Think of what you want, check the weight of the bricks and calculate how many bricks weigh 100 g. In general, the smaller the brick, the more you 'fit in' the 100 g. And the rarer (the expensier) the brick is the better. I made the calculations for my shoping list in Gunzburg afterwards. Considering the quantities I got and the average price for that amount on Bricklink, I 'saved' around 250 EUR. But then I was also lucky to get sand green and dark orange. In short, my advice is to think of what you want, of the colours, and quantities, then check the price and weight on BL, and hope to find something you want in Billund. Quote

That's the point! The PAB in LL Billund is, let's say 25% of the size of the Fabrik in LL Günzburg! Don't expect to get rare or specialized bricks there. Quote
glendo Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 i was there in april, and it's by weight. i cannot tell you how much per 100g, as i was thinking in my own currency, using daily conversions app. but i can tell you, the PaB at billund is very, very, very impressive it's worth checking out the copenhagen lego store as well if you can... same prices as billund, has a great PaB as well.
