Great to see the updated photos. It certainly is a busy little railway and town.

I love the old billboards by the way, the English railway posters in the photo with the Emerald Night make for a great picture.

Sorry for bumping my own thread, however I love looking at layouts, so hopefully others will:

This is where I'm up to with mine, had a re-design of the layout and moved some bits and pieces around:

I stole the posters from here, any chance of making some more, they look great over the layout :)

To fit the room which is only small, however all I could get past the wife!! Lol

Looks to me like you're going to have an electrical short with such layout. The two vertical branches on the left, they split (Y) and then loop back (top). The two rails will 'cross' .... If you are running this with the 9V system, you'll have a short. If however, you're running this with PF, then no issue.

The new layout looks much better than the original IMO. It's much less cluttered. The blue track 'monorail' looks better off to side as well.
