Locomotive Annie Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Great to see the updated photos. It certainly is a busy little railway and town. I love the old billboards by the way, the English railway posters in the photo with the Emerald Night make for a great picture. Quote

Electricsteam Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Ive always wannted to make a snap together layout.. With mountains.... I'm just blathering now , aren't I? Great layout I love the use of the classic buildings. Quote
dundarach Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Sorry for bumping my own thread, however I love looking at layouts, so hopefully others will: This is where I'm up to with mine, had a re-design of the layout and moved some bits and pieces around: I stole the posters from here, any chance of making some more, they look great over the layout :) Quote
DrJB Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 And designed on track draw thingy: To fit the room which is only small, however all I could get past the wife!! Lol Looks to me like you're going to have an electrical short with such layout. The two vertical branches on the left, they split (Y) and then loop back (top). The two rails will 'cross' .... If you are running this with the 9V system, you'll have a short. If however, you're running this with PF, then no issue. Quote
JopieK Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 well, there are solutions to that even with 9V of course (isolation, diodes, etc.) Quote
Hey Joe Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 The new layout looks much better than the original IMO. It's much less cluttered. The blue track 'monorail' looks better off to side as well. Joe Quote
KringlesBricks Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I really like how you cleaned up the layout compared to how it was before - looks even better. It looks much cleaner. Nice! Quote
