Zilcho Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I want to make a WW2 diorama or something like that. I need a few more figures and so I was wondering what parts are good for WW2 figs. Let's start off by mentioning Indiana Jones because it is the only official ww2 soldiers TLC have made, I also use the cold war Russians as WW2 Russians. Other themes: Pharoah's Quest is pretty obvious, it also lots of inter-war vehicles and nice torsos. Starwars: I use the Hoth trooper's torso with tan arms for soldiers. So, what other parts from different themes are suitable for WW2? Quote

Exchange the head and hands from green to yellow or flesh and you have some american GIs Quote
CMP Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Shire Frodo and Sam from the Lord of the Rings sets make decent WWII-esque uniforms. The upcoming Bag End set also has Bilbo Baggins, which is like a combination of the 2. Quote
Faefrost Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Look at some of the figs from the Dino Attack theme and the Rock Raiders theme. They have darker colors, a lot of web gear and. Those leather tanker type helmets. Also look at the current Dino theme for some jungle khaki type outfits. Also the CMF's Explorer, Pilot, Sailor, Gangster and Zookeeper all have some useful elements. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I also use the cold war Russians as WW2 Russians. Use those bodies as Americans. WW2 Russians didn't wear green. They wore brown and a shade of dark tan. And the soviet body looks to "upper class." A lot of the Russians were conscripts and peasants. Quote
