ACPin Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I've been asked numerous times about what happened to Akai Shiro and the answer was always deconstructed! Half-truth in a way since the three core pieces (dojo, castle, samurai house) were actually left intact. After I've brought the dojo and the samurai house in one show, I've decided to bring out the castle for the next show. Smaller than the original but nevertheless the kids liked it especially those familiar with the Ninjago sets. A new addition on the bottom left corner is the 2504-1 Spinjitzu Dojo which did not require any mod as it fit right into the theme. AC PS. If there's more space available in the next show, I will probably resurrect the whole castle grounds in all it's glory! Quote
Rocketbilly Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) Very nice, I really like all of the little details here and the layout is very nice. I seem to remember seeing the original, and this is just as impressive. I really like the colours and that Spinjitzu Dojo fits in really well! Edited August 21, 2012 by Rocketbilly Quote
gedren_y Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Wonderful and detailed. I had a shock moment though, when I saw that pic, because it looked like the back wall of the pavillion at my local park. It know it wasn't, but those walls are eerily similar, and there was some kind of event there yesterday that I didn't get to check out. I wonder how common that gray is with respect to event arenas. I've been able to experiment with various layouts for these and next time I'll vary the gradient on the grounds instead of just the flat baseplates. Wonderful and detailed. I've been to several convention centers around NJ and that color for the back walls seem to be common amongst them. Impressive layout Surprising how well the Spinjitzu Dojo fits in Instatnly recognized by the kids and just had to sway most of them from trying to play with it! AC Quote
