Jason C. Hand Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Hey all. It's been a while since the last time I posted anything here on EB, I know. Been busy with other things. So anyway, I'm back to showcase a rendition of the Second Doctor's trial and regeneration as seen in the Doctor Who story, "The War Games" (which was the late Patrick Troughton's final serial as Dr. Who Mk.II). It is a short stop motion on Youtube, done with LDD, that elaborates further on the actual regeneration itself, barring whatever fiction has been released that is set between "War Games" and the late Jon Pertwee's first show, "Spearhead from Space." See video Hope you all enjoy :) Quote
Si-MOCs Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Really interesting, I like the photo effects that you added. Unfortunately I haven't seen that doctor who so I didn't really get it Quote

Unfortunately I haven't seen that doctor who so I didn't really get it No problem, it's cool. Yeah, the entire sequence is based on a very old episode called "The War Games." It was the last episode for the late Mr. Pat Troughton's Second Doctor. He and the two friend with him at the time landed on some planet where soldiers had been kidnapped from different points in Earth's history, and were being mentally conditioned to fight in some "war games" started by an alien race looking to create an army of super soldiers from the survivors. The Doctor wanted to stop the war games and send the Earth soldiers back to their respective times, but could not do it on his own, so he called the Timelords for help. It's really interesting. Hope you get to watch it some time. Quote
