JackJonespaw Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 My entry for the Lego Lord of the Rings Building Challenge. Enjoy. Quote
purpleparadox Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Awesome! The rocky ground looks really neat. Nice job! Quote
DarthPotato Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 This is a pretty cool MOC. I love how you did the ground. Overall, I think this is a nice, simple MOC, so nice job! Quote
Theduke Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Awsome moc! But maybe you should add lava Quote
King of Nynrah Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Awsome moc! But maybe you should add lava Per Theduke, switch some of the grey tiles and slopes for trans-orange ones to make it a little more interesting. Great detail on the ground though! Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Wow!!! This is an amazing rock technique. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Great work on the rocks and excellent presentation I agree that some lava would be fitting though Quote
SheepEater Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Ha! Love it. Is that Han Solo's freshly-uncarbonized torso? Quote
Ferrik Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Looks wonderful. Great job with making the floor look rugged. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Wow, wonderful realization! The ground is gorgeous ...great scene! Quote
Deathleech Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Simply yet effect technique for the rocks! It looks like you just left some of them a little loose to achieve it? Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Good MOC. I agree that the rock technique is efficient. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone! I agree that some lava would "heat" this MOC up, but the scene that this portrays, there is no lava. (First part of this video:) Also, the contest has already ended, so that might be a problem, too. Venunder Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Good loose surfacing effect. It just needs a Gollum, sneakin up behind Sam. Quote
