Scouty Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I'm not sure if this is the right place. Anyway, it's not my thing to ask somebody to find pics for me, but there is a modle at miniland in one of the LegoLands. The modle shows an orchestra playing inside a big round whit building. I need it as a reference pic for something I'll be building soon. If anyone, if at all possible, could kindly find a pic for me, or even just a name. Just a name would help me big time. Thanks Everybody!! I appreciate it! Quote
Bricks0937 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I think you're talking about the Hollywood Bowl. Look that up on Google and click images and check if thats the right building. Hope that helps. Quote
Scouty Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Thanks alot!!! I got it now. Thanks again! Quote

Yes, It's pretty obvious there in the first picture. I hate the look of those miniland figs, but I am envious of how easy they are to build around. By far the biggest challenge in Lego building is fiting porportionate vehicals and buildings into the very dis-porportionate minifig scale. Also check out the cello in the second stage; I think I like it a bit better and it makes a brilliant use for those 1x3 arches. But it Quote
Asuka Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 If anyone wants to see some more miniland pictures including the primative WIP Las Vegas, just ask. :'-) Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnightWon't somebody help me chase the shadows away Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight Take me through the darkness to the break of the day) ABBA Quote

oo7 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I need no more time, I finally done! Now OFF WITH HIS HEAD!! OK, one of the things I found most interesting was the usage of the 'real' foliage. Irish Moss is used for the grass and there are many different types of shrubs used for large trees! Here we have a couple workers caring for this delicate vegetation. :-D Here we have a Jazz Funeral that I was just compelled to capture due to the neat cemetery ;-) . Now for some trivia; who knows the story being the moss infestation in there? AND who knows why graveyards always have such large fences? This is fountain is gushing out large torrents of water, which is pretty cool, but those three people in the inner-most doughnut are wading in knee deep water.... I was also compelled to take a photograph of this here zoo, the little birds and moneys were just too cute..... FLYING LLAMA!!!!! X-D One can only wonder what's happening here.............. And now, here, is our very primitive WIP Las Vegas! (Here's DC in the background) I was surprised to see how much work goes into creating underground foundations, they have to pour concrete, construct wooden and steel supports, set Styrofoam templates, and run wires everywhere! 8- Quote
