[MOC] Colonial Serpent & Colonial Raptor

I think I've fallen victim to an acute form of BSG-MOC-addiction, so please have mercy on me when I present you yet another two Battlestar Galactica MOCs

Both are for the not-aired spin-off Blodd & Chrome

The first one is a variant of the Colonial Viper MK5, the "Sperpent" - the serpent is a heavy bomber, slower and less maneuvrable (she features only two engines instead of the three engines on a Viper) - the Serpent comes with a better armour, two guided missiles and a compliment of dumb-bombs designed to detonate on impact - the Serpent's main purpose is to bombard enemy ground facilities

The second one is the ancestor of the famous Raptor Multi Purpose Role vessel from the Galactica - the Raptor MK1 features the same colouring as designed for the art-work for Blood and Chrome. It is supposed to be a cruder, smaller and less sturdy version. This one also features a small "pallet jack" in order to get the Raptor to the launching pad.

On both back-designs you may notice that I've started on creating a battlestar hangar - once complete, I will show it in full action. However, this may take a while...

Excellent work 'Horry', still waiting for some original series everyone ? (or maybe I might step up to the plate....I'll seriously think about later in the week....as long as I remember )

I do like the raptor craft, both actually the plain looks as good as the dark red trimmed one.

Has Blood and Chrome started yet? I'm not too familiar with the latest BSG series ...but I can definitely see some of the awesome resemblances between this and the Ratptors/Vipers from the new series...Once again, love your box work.

And I think I like the Viper more. The wheel intakes are great!

No, unfortunately they canceled it after they had produced the pilot for the series. The studio is still deciding what to do with it, though. A leaked internal trailer of the pilot can be found on the internet very easily - but I'd rather not post copyright infringement material here
