Hello,

Im a new builder in the technic system and I wanted to share some of my first MOCs,most of them are inspired by videos iv'e seen, but their design is different.

I only have the 8043 set and some pieces ordered from bricklink right now (I have a lot of lego from other genres)

So please check them out!:

claw vehicle:

gantry crane (preety shaky,I know)

a simple RC car:

and the claw vehicle 2:

inspired by isogawa's.)

I have lots of mocs planned :)

Thanks and please leave me some tips,im a beginner! :)

Welcome to Eurobricks. It's great to see more new technic fans joining the site.:sweet:

I like the gantry crane.:sweet:

Start small and work your way up in size.

Always build your gearbox first and then build the rest of the vehicle around it.

Its good to break up your moc's into modules.

Very nice!

Are the two opposing pneumatic cylinders for telescoping the boom?

Correction; three cylinders (?)

Welcome!

Is it just coincidence that your name is legoGBC, or can we expect some Great Ball Contraption modules from you?

Nice GDI avatar too, perhaps you can build us a Mammoth MKII?

I never start in exactly the same way with my MOCs.

Going from this:

wip.jpg

to this:

img_0001.jpg

is often extremely challenging and time consuming. Start with deciding on what to build and go from there. Then begin building the frame (with similar scale dimensions as the original). Next start adding the functions in. One of the most important things when building a large scale MOC is testing functions EXTENSIVELY as you go. Just because the drive works when its only pushing the frame doesn't mean it will work when there is a body and other pieces piled on. The more you build the easier it will be to start building a new MOC.

hope this helps.

Hexapod is too easy. A tripod is much harder to do right in Technic ;)

Also considering the close-range EMP blast, a tripod will beat a hexapod every time

Attack bike is better ;)

How about we agree on the rifleman squad?

Your mocs look great, the version 2 of the claw track is excellent.

Thanks
