weebaldy Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Hiya Peeps, Just popping on to say Hi and share my preferences on this very new found passion. I am an old wrinkly gamer that has loved fantasy/horror themed stuff for too many years to mention. I dabble in RPG's, board games, Wargames and Video games. As a kid way way back I had loads of Lego, sadly all gone a long time ago. Anyway to get up to date, I had seen the various adverts on Facebook for lego Lord of the Rings over the last few months and some folks in my gaming community were talking about it, and as a huge LoTR fan interest was piqued. A couple of days ago I dropped into my local Toys R Us and headed for the Lego section..WOW!!, I had no idea how far this product range has progressed there is so much stuff I love my wife had drag me kicking and screaming out the store before I bankrupted us :-). I did manage to pick up a Mines of Moria set as my first purchase and I intend to build it on Holiday next week. So here I am just a few days after my first purchase scouring the interweb and YouTube for Lego info ( love the monster hunter sets ) and found you guys. I can see I have found a new life's passion and am delighted to have found the EuroBricks community I am really looking forward to getting involved in discussions about all things Lego. Finally a big preempted thank you to all those experienced members that take time to help noobs like me. I can see already how helpful and friendly this place is and as someone that's gonna need a lot of advice I really appreciate your efforts. Cya on the posts Ray Quote
