robuko Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 No-one really knows if the attack on Maes Drin was Elemental, magework, or just a freak of nature. But that tornado was very specific, it carried away only the houses of the Lord and the prettiest girl in town. What a blow for the people! But, they were unmolested after that, so they learned to live with it. Director's note Tablescrap, basically. My secondary idea was to make a big typhoon from trans clear, and put the whole town somewhere in it. Now I realise how hard it is to photograph, I'm glad I didn't The primary idea was much better. But I thought I would share this anyway, to add to the air elementals. Quote

My first idea was going to be a huge tornado, and have the houses situated in it like the Wizard of Oz. After building for about ten minutes I realized how difficult and part extensive it was it was going to be and rethought my idea. I think the micro scale of it works much better for this! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Cool entry, the tornado is really neat Excellent micro-city too Quote
Rogue Angel Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Fantastic job with the microbuild here! I love the tornado - it looks so realistic and enormous. I also like the trees and the water crashing against the shore. Beautiful MOC! Quote
Legonardo Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Not the prettiest girl in town nice micro! Quote
Jason Cicchini Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I've always had difficulty with micro scenes. Most builds I see are very clever in their parts usage and layout, but every time I attempt it I have difficulty with scale and attempting to do something new and different. This build achieves all of that! I can just see the huge Tsunami wave with a yawning mouth crashing over the sea wall. Great job! Good luck! Quote
Mike S Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Nice micro! Looks just as I would imagine a Kaliphlin coastal town to look like! Quote
Kayne Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I'm very intrigued by the coastal town...I'd love to see you make a full build of the town some time. Since we all have so much free time to just build and ignore everything else that shouldn't take long right Quote
de Gothia Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 That is for sure one little fine micro build!! I like the curved wall the most! Quote
Gabe Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Hee, that's a sweet little micro build, robuko! I love the shape of the air elemental, it really looks as though it is picking up the houses in it's two enormous arms. I would have thought the locals would be more concerned about that huge wave though, especially being in such a low lying area... Quote
