M<0><0<DSWIM Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) After a month of building (and 4 months of procrastinating), I present my Batman & Batpod (Moodland Scale)! This thing was a serious challenge to build, but I'm pretty happy with the results! What do you think? Edited July 30, 2012 by M<0><0<DSWIM Quote
Ferrik Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Excellent MOC. I like how you made Batman from bricks to make him have the right scale compared to the Batpod, this also adds more detail. Quote
purpleparadox Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I've been waiting for this ever since you mentioned it in the SW forum! Looks fantastic. One thing that really catches my eye is the way you did his cape. How 'bout a Moodland scale Joker? Quote
K-Nut Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 This is amazing! Looks like it could be a UCS set! Excellent job on this. Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Very nice Mood, Batman is one of my new favorite heroes. (May have something to do with the movie...) This looks very close to the real one. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 This looks great and accurate to the movie. I have never tried this scale, but it looks awesome for detailing. Quote
BrickPicker Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Well done. It would make a great LEGO set. Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 Great job!How big is MOODLAND scale? Thanks! My Moodland figs are roughly action-figure size (about 6.5 inches tall). I've been waiting for this ever since you mentioned it in the SW forum! Looks fantastic. One thing that really catches my eye is the way you did his cape. How 'bout a Moodland scale Joker? Thanks! Glad you've been anticipating this. I've always wanted to build a Moodland Joker, but the c-clips I use for the arm/leg joints don't come in purple (yet). Quote
Ceroknight Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Looks awesome! I really think you should make more vehicles for your moodland scale Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Another brilliant Moodland creation Kevin! The Batman fig is great, but I must say I'm even more impressed with the awesome-looking Batpod. I love the articulation of this build, and the relatively large Moodland scale really helped in putting the necessary details and proper proportions in there. I really think you should make more vehicles for your moodland scale Well he has done some equally impressive Moodland vehicles in the past (AT-RTs, Endor and Hoth Speederbikes, STAP, etc.), though I agree it wouldn't hurt to treat us with more vehicles, perhaps a Moodland-scale Tumbler in the near future? [/wishful thinking] Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Very cool as usual MOOD! I really like the bike and what you did with the face. Can you show Aquaman some love next? Quote

[/wishful thinking] Thanks for the kind words, Kiel! Although a Tumbler at this scale would be HUGE and VERY time-consuming, it wouldn't be impossible for me to build. Maybe... Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Well done. It would make a great LEGO set. Thanks! Should I present this on Cuusoo? Quote
purpleparadox Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Thanks! Should I present this on Cuusoo? You should put all of your MOCs on CUUSOO! It wouldn't take long for at least one of 'em to hit 10k supporters. Quote
